Leo, as far as I understand it I have severed all official Masonic contact with Co-Freemasonry, meaning I can no longer attend Co-Masonic Lodges or be a part of that organisation if I wished to. I doubt that even UGLE can dictate with whom I converse with on a day to day basis! Be they Co-Masons, or as the Book of Constitutions so quaintly puts it 'quasi-masonic bodies'. Apart from conversing on here and other Fora, I am no longer in touch with any Co-Masons from my past.

Midlander,
Thanks for taking the time to explain. I still must imagine it must be difficult all the same.
Take care.

Midlander,
Thanks for your background and history. I did not mean to be too aggresive but felt Yoki needed sticking up for .

Midlander - thank you for being so open with us, it's good to have you back in freemasonry, I hope you are gaining as much from your membership as you did last time round.
If you are ever in London and it co-incides with a lodge meeting I would be happy to welcome you as my guest.

Bod, thanks for thr invite: I do intend to get out and visit, but still being an E.A. limits my options somewhat!
I still have family in London - I'm originally from Middx. so hopefully we'll catch up eventually; I'd certainly like to attend a meeting at GQS and have a good look around.............

Of course in the summer we would not be able to attend a meeting unless it was our LOi festival in June but maybe just a meet up and a meal and a few beers.
Steve ican see you now going down the helter skelter on the Palace Pier with a Kiss me Quick hat and a stick of candy floss ;D ;D ;D

Midlander, to get back on topic it has been suggested by my wife that women do not use computers in the same way as men do, we are quite happy to spend hours looking here and there, posting on sites and, according to my wife, achieving nothing. Though I have to wonder if it is the computer fairy who keeps the anti virus up to date? ;D ;D Ladies on the other hand, do not in the main view computers as a means of entertainment - computers are functional - there to do a job. It is I believe our loss that this may be the case.

Michael, whilst this is a wee bit off topic, it is an interesting aside and WE do NOT have a fetish about strict relevance unlike some other Fora.
Now I would disagree with your main contention. I use a computer and enjoy surfing the web, but to me in the end it's a tool, just like the TV, the Phone, the Fax, the Mobile. I'm not at all worried that the Case is not the same colour as the Flat Screen monitor or the Optical Mouse or the large size external disk drive. SOME women WOULD make a big issue of these periperal issues or the which Windows Colour Scheme is used.
As to whether such a matter has any relevance regarding Women being Freemasons or not, I cannot see it, but others may find a behavioural connection.

Sorry, I thought Midlander was asking why women do not post at anything like the same rate as men.

Simple, there are far less Women Freemasons than Men and , no disrespect to those wonen who are Lady Masons or to Co-Masons, but the nature of women seems to be less interested in the "clubable" aspects of Freemasonry, especially as practiced here under UGLE.
There are no doubt other topics which have a gender bias and which would not attract postings from women surfing the web whilst others will have a preponderance of women as posters but few men.
Yes there are Lady Masons out there, there are two Lodges of them meeting at Masonic Halls I go to, at Caversham and Wokingham, but they keep themselves to themselves so perhaps that is also the case regarding the Internet and this and other Fora.

All, my original point was that nobody from the 'ladies only' organisations have ever ( to my knowledge) posted to this, or any other Forum.
It would be nice to get their take on matters Masonic, for example how they view Co-Masons, types of Ritual worked, and any additional degrees attached to HFAF and the OWF etc, etc.

I'll see if I can find their website, sign the guestbook and leave the link, suggesting that if they don't like the idea their Mod simply deletes it but if happy we would be delighted to have postings from them.

Steve, yo are right. Women masons are more and deeply interested in the esoteric parts of Freemasonry. So thats why rituals in Co-masonic lodge sare a bit different than in men-only lodges.
