Back to Earth ! What am I to expect from interviews ? Am I to have as many as four interviews ? (Its beginning to sound more like the Third Degree or worse: the Inquisition !) If I am asking too much, I am sorry. I will not pester you lovely people any more with my questions.

The questions were general, really. Designed to allow the investigating committee to get to know you and for you to get to know a few members of the lodge. Harmony in a lodge is incredibly important so it's best to be sure they fit you and you fit them. Just answer the questions as if a good friend is asking. And you should ask questions as well.
Given what I've read from you here, you'll be fine.
I will mention that it may be a while yet before they vote to accept you. And that you may not have much contact at all with them in between interviews (though I've heard some lodges aren't quite so stand-offish as was mine). But I can promise you that, if you've made it to the interview process, then things will progress (if slowly) from here.
And please do keep that dancing, happy, wonderful feeling. The music has only just begun to play ;D

Thanks, imakegarb. I will be dancing the "Bolero" in my dreams tonight ! I am so excited I now have insomnia On a serious note: I do understand that it is necessary to go through some sort of vetting process before a final decision is made. I would be worried if that were not the case. Kind regards, Ariel

The wheels are spinning and if everything goes to plan....March/April. I have been officially told that there might be a "silent period" but not to worry. Yes, I am still dancing, singing and very happy. Kind regards, Ariel

Ah but you're reminding me of an old Shaker tune: Lord of the Dance.
And Silent period. Hmmmmm. I'm going thru my first year as a Freemason, so there are things I'm hitting for the first time. It hit me last night () that your future lodge also might be dark (that is, not holding lodge meetings) about this time of year (holiday season). My lodge will be dark until January. In that time, no biz, no voting. So . . .
Just stick with us here, K. I've officially moved my playpen to this area of the Net (under Maat's table) and there's room in it for all newbs who wanna play ;D

You are perfectly correct, imakegarb. Apparently, the lodge will be dark until February (I think). But, hey ho, I am very comfortable with that because I know that the "silence" will not be intented to reflect being ingnored. To the contrary, I am very happy to have been told that this is indeed what will be happening by the RWM of my future Lodge. Is there space enough to join Maat's under-table party ? Good, here I come !

It's like a pea pod, always grows to accomodate all the peas ;D And the contractor just finished installing the bay window in the sunroom. I'm thinking it'll make things even brighter under the table
