Do any of our forum members belong to the Grand Lodge of Freemasonry for Men and Women. I have heard that they were happily growing. In some parts of England actually shared Malecraft premisies. I have looked at their Web site but it appears not to be maintained

I've been living in a dark and tedious hole call malecraft masonry for all my masonic life; I was just wandering the net, and I found this bizarre world of girl masons. But I like them. I never knew there was even a word - malecraft. I always thought Girl Masonry was small, I never knew they had Grand Lodges. How many Grand Lodges are there that lets women join?

If you consider your lodge to be a "dark and tedious hole" then why, praytell, have you not demitted? "Girl Masons" seems rather a condecending term, perhaps "Female Masons" would be a better choice? "Malecraft" and "Femalecraft" seem to be terms exclusive to Female and Co-Masonic obiediences, which we are familiar with by exposure to the differing forms of Masonry on the internet. There are no such terms within mainstream Masonry.

"Malecraft" and "Femalecraft" seem to be terms exclusive to Female and Co-Masonic obiediences, which we are familiar with by exposure to the differing forms of Masonry on the internet. There are no such terms within mainstream Masonry. Well, I will preytell you. First heres how you saw that: "He said dark and tedious= he thinks Masonry is dark and tedious= he is still a Mason; therefore he is stupid for still being a Mason." You remind me of a horse with tunnel vision goggles on Brother. Take your goggles off for a second and stop seeing things in this this=that way. Yes Freemasonry is boring. I question watch you do for excitement if you think sitting at a lodge for 4 hour to vote on paying the lodge bills is extreme excitement. Maybe for 80 year olds, but I'm still young. Compared to everything else I could be doing outside in the real world; sitting at a lodge for hours to wait and give a Aye vote to pay bills is BORING and TEDIOUS. But fortunately there is more to Masonry then paying bills. That is the part I stick around for. I also stick around and stay a member because I actually hang out with my brothers in the real world, and I happen to love them and there family. I also stick around because I like watching the ritual work. I stick around because I like spending time with a bunch of old men and putting a smile on their face, and perhaps learn something from them before they die. I also stick around because I like sharing what i have learned with other Masons who may be looking for more in Masonry then the Boring stuff. Female Mason to me sounds very bad. This is due to a difference in culture. In my culture - as I was raised the word "Female" is reserved only for animals and has the same meaning as the word "B**ch," therefore I don't use it with people; unless I speak in a derogatory manner with her.

Then maybe a genuine member of the Grand Lodge of Freemasonry for men and women, may care to reply

I met members of this GL while I was in London last month. I found them very pleasant Brothers and I am a bit sad I was not able to sit in lodge with them.
I do have contact information for these members, including their GL secretary. Do you need to be put in touch with them?

Thanks Karen, No I don't have a need to communicate with them, I was just hoping that one of them might post here and add yet more colour to our forum.
