Has anybody been in a Lodge Room when The RWM's Throne actually was in the east - Suspect it would be a powerful lodge when lined up truely to the N s E W

Yes Seeker, ours here in Christchurch faces due East and could possibly be one of the first to get the Rising Sun, unless ther happens to be one on the Chatham Islands. The only disapointment is that it is not at ground floor level for the 3rd degree. The Chair however is in the East facing West, with the symbol of Light above it.

You'd think that any lodges that were build specifically TO be lodges....would be constructed so that the east IS in the east. I'm aware than most lodges were not built TO be lodges, but rather adopted to become lodges, but there must be at least a few hundred in the world that were purpose-built.

When I run guided meditations for planetary energy work I am very careful where everyone sits.
Normally I will sit in the east and the anchor person will sit opposite. The anchor (WSW?) is required to observe inwardly all the human participants during the process and to help if necessary to ensure the energies flow properly. They are also expected to observe other entities approaching that I might not have observed being rather busy myself.
Then the geometry for the remaining humans is based often on the number present but also on the energies wanting to come.
Often I will make a game of it and get the people to find their proper place for the inner ritual. It varies a lot and may take 5 minutes to get everyone in a place in which they are comfortable with the energy of that direction.
On some occasions I cannot sit in the East or the orientation is no longer supposed to be to the Orient because of the energies. When the problem is the shape of the room I make the place I sit the East. It seems to work.
Physical lodge work obviously is rather stylised now but I suspect before formalisation of the ritual there was scope for a competent Master to vary workings to meet the energies available.
Cheers
Russell
