Found in a Ritual - translated to - Nature is regenerated wholly by Fire
would this be that we need Fire to Destroy for rebirth to happen - Like in a Redwood Forest ...any thoughts

It contains a clear message about the purifying effect of fire. Which is not only the common Element we all know, but has also many implications at psychological level. Alchemists thought the prayer was fire, for instance.

According to Alvin Boyd Kuhn, the symbol of fire represents the higher spiritual man. "Our highest nature is an incorruptible body composed of the glorious essence of the sun's energy! The gods in the Bible were always symboled by the light or fire of the sun...
Let us hear first the Psalms. "Our God is a living fire," say they; and "Our God is a consuming fire." "The Lord God is a sun," avers the same book. "I am come to send fire on earth," says Jesus, meaning he came to scatter the separated sparks of solar essence amongst mankind, a spark to each soul. In Revelation the angels scatter the fire and the incense of their seven censers over the earth, among the inhabitants. Then says John the Baptist: "I indeed baptize you with water, but he that cometh after me will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire!" Jesus says: "I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven." (Satan was the descending Lucifer, or Light-bringer, before he was lifted up and divinized.) The fire that falls on Jeremiah's altar and many another in the Bible narrative types the deity coming to dwell with mortals. Says Jesus: "When I am in the world I am the light of the world." The Lord, say the Psalms, "made his angels messengers and his ministers a flame of fire."...
Supplementing all this material from the Bible and ancient scriptures, there is at hand for our supreme enlightenment one grand pronouncement from Greek Platonic philosophy which we conceive to be that lost ultimate link between science and religion. It is a sentence from the learned Proclus, last of the Great Platonists: "The light of the sun is the pure energy of intellect." Here is the basic link between all naturalism and all spirituality. Matter enshrouds and contains the soul of mind and spirit. The light of the sun is the deific flash of intellect! And the very core of our conscious being is a spark of that infinite indestructible energy of solar light. There is the "seminal soul of light" or the seed of fiery divinity (Prometheus's "fire" stolen from the gods) in each of us...
With this force of fire we must uplift the lower man and transmute his nature into the spiritual glow of love and intelligence...This is the radiant Augoeides of the Greeks, the Sahu of the Egyptians, in which the soul wings its flight aloft like the phoenix, after rending the veil of the temple of the body.
from:The Great Myth of the SUN-GODS by Alvin Boyd Kuhn [1880 - 1963]
This is too literal an interpretation of fire as a symbol. A recognition of the Divine spark within is the catalyst for rebirth to happen - a transformation from the lower animal man (water born) to the higher spiritual man (fire born). Symbolically, these two conditions are personified in the Gospels as John the baptist and Jesus.

BACK IN PRINT, AFTER 53 YEARS: MANLY P. HALL'S FIRST PUBLISHED BOOK! The INITIATES of the FLAME By Manly P. Hall "Few realize that even at the present stage of civilization in this world, there are souls who, like the priests of the ancient temples, walk the earth and watch and guard the sacred fires that burn upon the altar of humanity. Purified ones they are, who have renounced the life of this sphere in order to guard and protect the Flame, that spiritual principle in Man, now hidden beneath the ruins of his fallen temple. "As we think of the nations of the fallen past, of Greece and Rome and Egypt... we watch the nations of today, not knowing which will be the next to join that great ghostly file of peoples that are dead. "But everywhere, even in the rise and fall of nations we see, through the haze of materiality, justice; everywhere we see reward, not of man but of the invincible One, the eternal Flame." —M.P.H. Written in 1922, when Manly P. Hall was just 21 years old, The Initiates of the Flame illustrates the great thread, the spiritual thread, of living fire that winds in and out through all the religions and binds them together with a mutual ideal and mutual needs: there is but one religion in all the world, and that is the worship of God, the spiritual Flame of the universe. Under many names He is the same, the Creator of the universe, and fire is His universal symbol. www.prs.org/freemason.htm

>Our God is a living fire
Following a run-in with some cosmic elementals I find now that when I move inner light around my body it always takes the form of salamanders (fire elementals).
Perhaps that is one of the steps towards having one's natural bodies regenerated by fire
Cheers

The name of salamander is given now to fire-elementals, but was supposed anciently to be a kind of dragon living in fire, which was covered in a fire-retardant wool, called in Greek "not-burning": asbestos.

IF we take the point within the circle as symbolical of the physical(?) atom and then think about what happens when we split an atom and the energy that is released, then maybe we are approaching the sort of fire or energy that is involved here at its most potent 'physical' level. Atomic energy = Atum-ic energy ?? Atum is the primeval Egyptian sun god and creator of the world. He is the evening aspect of the sun, representing the setting sun and its journey through the underworld (physical world) to its rising in the east (heavenly or non physical worlds.) As Ra-Atum/Atum-Ra, a composite deity with Ra He/She/It was the primordial creative force combined with the ruler of the gods. According to the myths, He was the first substance (a hill) who emerged from the primeval waters. Here once again we have the story of the Sun/Son/Light descending to the physical worlds on a circulatory journey. Within each atom/atum of our bodies we are part of that Sun/Son/Light and it is taught by some that even at this physical level we are able to alter the very atoms that we are composed of - to become a veritable Light Body.... the transfiguration of Jesus in the Bible. So we must by good words, thoughts, actions raise our vibratory rate and try to become the Perfect Man. Rise to the occasion It is thought that as the vibes rise and the heat increases so the dross is burnt away and we are renewed. We feel and think like new men. Our language indicates an unconscious knowledge of this process... we "warm" to good news, to good ideas, to good deeds. Whereas bad stuff leaves us "cold". This operation is also happening at lower levels - minerals, plant and animal kingdoms and at levels so high we cannot comprehend from where we are. As Above, So Below. Maat

The phrase may refer to the esoteric doctrine that all things are permeated by a divine fire, according to the things nature, which is either raised by degrees into the higher worlds of LIGHT/FIRE or destroyed and or purified of its "dross". An Alchemical concept. Also, the 3° of fire: Terrestrial, sexual and bodily, volcanic. Solar and astral, initiatic FIRE. And supernal and Celestial HOLY FIRE. One degree may be transmuted into higher levels and vice versa.
