>Could I suggest that there already is a one world religion.
Stewart
It could be that the New World Religion is supposed to emerge from Holy Mother Russia.
My limited investigation has indicated a strong link to Ste Sulpice and Rennes le Chateau.
Hence the dynamic interest in the Da Vinci Code

Ruff,
I agree with you. I translated into italian an eassy of an American historian, who demonstrated that Rennes le Chateau is an invention of the French right wing against Jews and Freemasons.
Asimov is far better!

But them again ... wasn't one of the Secrets of Fatima along the lines ... that true Christianity would rise again - out of Russia. And this was when Russia was seen almost in Anti-Christ terms.

Maat,
as far as I know, the secret of Fatima that pertained to Russia was:
"Russia shall be converted"

I think this is what I was remembering along with Fatima...
Cayce predicted the failure of communism and the collapse of the Soviet Union:
"[Through Russia], comes the hope of the world. Not in respect to what is sometimes termed Communism or Bolshevism -- no! But freedom -- freedom! That each man will live for his fellow man. The principle has been born there. It will take years for it to be crystallized; yet out of Russia comes again the hope of the world."
Cayce's words, despite all disbelief, were fulfilled in 1991 when the Soviet Union dissolved as a nation, abandoned communism, and instituted economic and political freedom.
Foresaw the alliance of Russia and US
Cayce foresaw that Russia would one day become America’s ally. Russia, he said, would be guided by friendship with the United States. The Soviet Union's attempt to rule "not only the economic, but the mental and spiritual life" of its people was doomed to failure.
"..for changes are coming, this may be sure -- an evolution or revolution in the ideas of religious thought. The basis of it for the world will eventually come out of Russia. Not communism, no! But rather that which is the basis of the same as the Christ taught -- his kind of communism."
Cayce's vision came true after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991.
Foresaw Russian religious freedom and religious movement
Cayce predicted a strong religious movement would come out of Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
In 1991, the fall of the Soviet Union and atheistic communism occurred as Cayce predicted. The resulting freedom to practice religion released a flood of Russian spirituality.
NB - Cayce died in 1945.

Are the ordinary Russians any better off? I doubt it. Some people have become fantastically rich , some have even bought UK Football Clubs that win the Premiership, but the ordinary Ivan and Olga are probably worse off in material terms, health, housing, law and order etc. Another thought occurs. The Russians still have a massive amount of armaments, some nuclear, and have large armed forces. Should the latter become disgruntled and in many cases they are owed months of pay etc, they could seize control and make Russia a very powerful totalitarian state again. Watch that space!

I know what you are saying TM - it is a worry. For all concerned I hope Cayce is right. Do you ever wonder sometimes if it is our generally pessimistic EXPECTATIONS that are fulfilled rather than our hopeful prayers?
Did you know that Cayce, reportedly, could time travel as well. I remember well reading in the late '70' one of his famous predictions, which was how he had traveled forward in time to just past the millennium and saw New York in desolation - just dust and rubble. He said what he saw could only have been caused by an earthquake or bombs. Given those general prophecies of the millennium disasters his predictions only added weight to them at that time.
It was only when I watching the aftermath picture of 9/11 that I realized that this is probably what he saw. Remember that picture of the piece of wall and windows standing upon a huge pile of rubble? Looked like the end of the world.
Cayce is also renowned for saying that under the left paw of the Sphinx there is a "Hall of Records". Scientists, using sonic equipment, now know that there is a large room there. Not only one room but a whole interconnecting maze apparently. Zawi Hawaas, Keeper of Antiquities(?), did take the cameras down to one of them where there was a huge 9' sarcophagus resting in the middle of a largish body of water. It was amazing!! I saw that about 3 years ago... and what have we heard since. NOTHING!
Anyway - getting back to Russia... if Cayce has been proved mostly accurate in his predictions let us remain optimistic in the hope that from Russia will come "an evolution or revolution in the ideas of religious thought ... Not communism, no! But rather that which is the basis of the same as the Christ taught -- his kind of communism."

and copied from that link the following which conduces a lot of thought :
Your total individuality is your soul. It abides in the indeterminate plurality of universes. Because it is alive, it is evolving. Because it is outside of time, its evolution is only the time that you need to permit it to find you. Because it is multidimensional, it contributes to the composition of an Ecclesia. It is one and innumerable.

>I translated into italian an eassy of an American historian, who demonstrated that Rennes le Chateau is an invention of the French right wing against Jews and Freemasons.
I have no doubt that logic can prove most anything.
But my metaphysical investigations on my visits to the various sites including Rennes le Chateau and Ste Sulpice indicate that there is more to understand.
Even on the most superficial level we have Richard Wagner visiting Rennes le Chateau shortly before he was finally able to finish Parsifal. For those not into Wagner, Parsifal is the only public ritual for invocation of the Grail. And to my surprise that invocation ritual of the Grail works even when performed by mediocre singers.
The Grail actually appears in the roof of the auditorium for those with inner sight - a small white sphere - easily represented by the wafer used in the Roman Catholic mass.
Then the audience, contrary to Wagner's instruction to sit in silence, instead bursts into applause and the crude sound obliterates the grail structure.
Perhaps the Grail - Templar - Rennes le Chateau connection is real and it certainly predates recent debunkings.
"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, that are dreamed of in your philosophy"
