Hi Sarge, Great to find a neighbour from accross the ditch. I will go easy with the Convict jokes, If you are go easy with with the Sheep jokes.
I am sure you will like this forum, the mod treats people with respect and doesn't think he knows everything.
Just a thought should this topic be on the new members introduction thread - If so can staff can move it over

Welcome to the forum, Sarge. Where abouts in Oz are you? whistler: The ditch? I've never heard the Tasman Sea referred to as that before. Mind you, I'm from the opposite edge (Perth) - the furthest you Kiwis tend to make it is Kalgoorlie. Though I did spend a formative year in NZ - much of it up in Whitianga, back when the place was filled with hippy communes (it was 1977 and I was 5 ).

Re the ditch - comes from being brainwashed by Sydney folk who think Australia ends at the Blue Mountains. and with 3 Hrs Auck Sydney, and 4 Hours Sydney Perth - does make the Tasman a bit of a Ditch

Ahh, Mandurah... know it well. Not the lodge, though, as I've only been made a Mason since living here in the Old Country. I lived in Melbourne for a year before moving over here, between Sydney Rd and Lygon St. Fantastic place to live.
