Hello, My name is Sidney i am new to the message of Freemasonry, and i am lucky enough to have a good friend on the site who is a great example of the values and morals required of the craft.
I am at the learning stage at the moment, but hopefully i may be lucky enough to be proposed in the future, i was wondering how diverse the community is on this site, in respect of age and level of status in the craft?
ps has anybody got any tips or advice for someone at the beginning like me? thanks very much and greetings to everybody.

A fraternal welcome! I'm a newbie here also but have been around on other boards. Looking forward to your input. Im sure you'll find all ages and opinions no matter what forum you join. I'd suggest browing the boards to get a feel for the content etc. Then post away!

Hi Sid, welcome!
For the time being browse this Forum.
Pick up what you like, better if you print it, so you can read it in total calm and think it over.
No need to hurry up.

Hi Sidney.
I joined in February, I think, and since then the forum has had a steady influx of new members, so it still has a "fresh" feel. I am yet to join the Order, though. But there's plenty to read and learn here, and a nice friendly tone.
Hope you'll enjoy your stay.

Welcome to the Forum sidney and we hope your stay will be a long one.
For General info Sidney is a Male aged 31 years which he failed to disclose but is in his Profile.
Sidney i must admit i was a bit cautious when i saw your e mail address but your post appears to be harmonious in its content and not the type that a few trolls who have theforum the last few days.
So please enjoy your stay and i expect there are many here willing to help you with your journey.
May we ask your general location in England as there may be a forumite living nearby you.

Just a quick follow on, i am a fan of inspirational quotes and would like to share these with you, (probably should be in the poetry/verse section really) the second one is from a mason quote site, is anybody familiar with the author? " By three methods we may learn wisdom: first by reflection, which is noblest: second by imitation, which is easiest: and third by experience, which is bitterest" Confucius. "The only way on earth to multiply happiness is to divide it" Paul Scherer.
