In forum terms its like 'points' - if someone likes what you post they can 'exalt' you which gives you karma points. it's a new feature of the forum since the upgrade

The word 'karma' is from Sanskrit and means 'cause & effect'. The word has become a part of todays 'new age' thought, and 'esoteric' vocabulary. Probably arrived in the modern world through the works of Blavatsky etc.
Basicly we all make 'karma' every day, but unfortunately, when it is used today it is mainly with/in a 'negative' conotation i.e., someone has 'bad' karma.
The general view of the Rosicrucians is that there are 2 main forms of energy (everything is vibration) i.e., that which God sends out & that which we as humanbeings send out. The rule being that what you send out will return to you in some form or other.
Best I can do.

what happens when I get - suppose - 10 karmas?
Shall I receive a cake, or an ice-cream, or even a pin?

Hi Bro. Giovanni, I take it you are asking about the value of Karma? (correct me if I am wrong) what's their helpfulness? In the children's fairy tale called "The Water Babies" (going back a bit) the moral principle behind the word 'Karma' is explained by the fairy called "Do as you would be done by." In the scientific world of physics it is simply 'cause & effect'. No points for this post ;D

Don'#t worry - it is no longer an issue. Staffs has disabled it.
Sid - gio is talking about a new feature that was added to the forum whereby you could 'vote' on posts by people - giving them 'karma' points. As mentioned it's all redundant now as Lee has turned this feature off.
