i would like to express my thanks to Agent J (Jerry) and Five Orders Lodge for having us as visitors on Saturday 6th.I had the pleasure of meeting Jerry but was a bit dismayed as he stood outside for the ceremony. We were not sure if this was to make sure that we all could not get out if we did not like the ceremony or the fact that he was Tyler for the day. Ourt visiting party consisted of ten brethren from five lodges in the province of sussex and we all experienced first hand our first Emulationceremony which was an initiation.Th ecerem, ony was carried out by Charlie who was celebrating a monumental fifty years in the craft and is indeed a very amzing person who has done so much for the craft.
We all had a really great day and manged to scoop 6 of the 8 raffle prizes to the discern of other visitors (Tough luck) The festive board was very good and the food was superb.
Thank you Jerry and everyone at Five Orders for making our day such a good one.We hope we can visit you again soon and lopok forward to you visiting Brighton.
I also met Andrew AKA Atarnaris in the pub and bought hiom the beer that i had promised.
Because of technology re : forums .this visit was possible and only goes to show that if freemasonry can move with the times then so much can be achieved for the future.
Jerry ,i trust you will get your new made brother along to another initiation soon

Bro Lee, it was an absolute pleasure and one I hope we can repeat many times in the future. I think I can persuade some of my fellows to come and visit you too, although we'll make quite a spectacle trying to balance our cases on a rusty Lambretta.

The sentiments expressed here regarding visiting are exactly what I see such a site/forum as this fostering. If any of you have the good fortune to visit Christchurch, New Zealand in the future feel free to contact me via E-mail and I will do my best to meet etc,
WHGW, Hubert

Sounds like you had a great time, Staffs. AgentJ: Yes, please drag the new initiate along to an Initiation ASAP. I was fortunate enough to have a kind offer from Sensei to attend an Initiation (a double, no less) shortly after my own, so had the benefit of taking in the whole event and relating it to my experience. For any/all men I propose in future, and for each degree they do, I intend to ensure there is a ceremony of that degree I can take them to within the same week, if possible. Seems the least I can do. Though I'm an EA with lofty ideals at the moment, so I would say that, wouldn't I?

I think thats an excellent idea Jumile - I still haven't witnessed any of the degrees I have been through from the onlookers seat.

no worries...one Chapter meeting I was at, the Janitor's phone burst into a quick rendition of the "Sand Dance" music, whatever that's called...it seemed quite fitting really.

Well I can top that Brethren, at a Mark Installation last week the PGM's phone burst into tune just as he took his place next to the WM
Fair play, he did look suitably embarrassed

May I aso add my belated regards to Bro's Jerry and Lee ,and what a pleasure it was to meet in the Pillars last Saturday. And to also thank Bro Lee for the beer he bought me as promised. Unfortunately I did not follow them, as I have promised to visit another Lodge (Kirby).
I say that we should get to meet more often. The only thing that I can see preventing this is early evening meetings. But Saturday meetings are excellent...
