Hey all, Just thought I'd pop a message up here to let those of you who are interested (and able) know that my Passing with Emanation Lodge 5232 is to take place on Monday 28th February at the London Masonic Centre in Clerkenwell Green, London. Our lodge opens at 5:45pm, and dining is £18. I'm sure you'd all love to watch me pfaff my lines... Will those of you who have expressed interest in attending (and any more who'd also like to come along) please drop me an email to confirm that you're still able to attend and to what postal address I need to have a summons sent. (My lodge secretary may also need to have a quick word with you - I'm not sure how it works).

Matt, naturally I'd love to attend but for obvious reason this is not possible at this stage. However, I do wish you the very best. I have no doubt you will be word perfect

Leo, you were the "or able" bit in my post. I too wish you could attend, though one day I may be able to attend yours. Thank you for the well wishing - we'll have to see on the word-perfection.

Thank you Matt for those comments. In time we'll all be "on the square" and be able to do so much. But I am a patient man

Will those of you who have previously expressed an interest in attending my Passing in February, please contact me ASAP? I have a bunch of names in my head (atarnaris, taylorsman, staffs, et al), but I can't remember if you were wanting to come to this, my Raising, or had invited me to your lodges - mind like a sieve at times. I received my summons today, so will scan and email you a copy - and you can pick up a proper copy at the meeting. Currently I just have one confirmed: Bod. Be there or... don't. ;D Thanks, MrMason. No problems - the distance is a killer.

Ok, bod and atarnaris now have copies of the summons, and I know the catechism now. So I'm a happy bunny. Roll on the 28th...

Matt,my thought will be with you and i expect you know the answers inside our eh ? unlike initiation when passing you can enjoy and savour the moment and try to listen to the second DTB explanation which is in itself a wonderful story and will enable you to fit a few pieces of the puzzle together.
If you do not get a copy of the Explanation after then e mail me and i will send it to you.

Yup yup - one week to go! And I do know my lines inside out, actually. Even if the questioner gets them the wrong way around I'll be able to answer... if I'm allowed.

I'm flattered, Lee. I discovered today that not only will I be being Passed on Monday, but I will also have the pleasure of Proposing my first candidate that evening. Because of this, I am more than happy to delay my third so that another brother can be made. He will be Initiated in our April meeting so assuming we don't have another candidate apply in the interim, I expect my Raising to take place on the fourth Monday of September (26th). I'll undoubtedly put up another post similar to this one closer to the time, but if you want to let me know sooner rather than later, I'll keep a note of those who wish to come along. All are, of course, welcome... but it's Dutch on the meals, I'm afraid. And for you jokers, I'm not dodging the stuff I need to learn for my third - I've been asked to deliver the working tools at his first. No rest for the wicked! Knowing my own Proposer, he'll undoubtedly get me to do something at my candidate's second and third, too. A harsh taskmaster, but I guess I should be glad he hasn't handed me the Charge to do...

Matt, start learning the charge now and it will be a big suprise to everyone.when i done it you could hear some saying.ooh a FC i wonder.
There is some lovely bits to learn in the second and i am sure you will enjoy hearing them on Monday.
I hope you get to hear the extended working tools normally done by the wardens and of course the SDTB which is a lovely story and the above are bits of ritual you can start learning.
