Thanks for all the dates, they are noted. Am I right in saying that Matt has proposed a candidate to join even though he is not a MM. Another difference as under the Scottsh Constitution a candidate can only be proposed and seconded by qualified members, i.e.. MM's

Bob
If and when you find yourself in London I should be able to assist in getting you to a meeting or two. Mark, RAM, OSM & Craft will all be available by mid-May - and I have contacts in most of the others that would be happy to help - i.e. Allied, etc.
If you have any of the masonic buildings you would specifically like to visit, i.e MMH, etc then I could try and get us to a meeting there.
It's one of the really good things I'm discovering about the 'other' degrees - visiting is a lot easier to arrange than in craft!

Many thanks Bod, however I'm not in the OSM but as for the others no problem, look forward to it.

Am I right in saying that Matt has proposed a candidate to join even though he is not a MM. Another difference as under the Scottsh Constitution a candidate can only be proposed and seconded by qualified members, i.e.. MM's Yes, you're right - I have proposed a candidate. It's interesting about the difference with SC. Although my "proposal" was done in the committee meeting (as I'm a lay member) prior to the lodge meeting, and the secretary actually read the notice of proposal in lodge and was seconded by another senior member. I didn't actually stand up in lodge and verbally propose him. Maybe it was a "workaround"?

Hi Matt, I hope that in my post you didn't think I meant that you were not a qualified member. In our Laws and Constitutions it states that a "qualified member" is a master mason.
It's nice to learn about the differences throughout the craft though.

Not at all, Bob. Sorry if I gave the impression I was mift. Hmm, apologising for possibly appearing angry... I've been living in England too long!
