Hey, Andrew, I put the 'x' in the box for no publicity, so no 'photos! ;D
We tile at around 3 so I'll be at the Pillars around 2'ish - which is probably a little early for you gents, but I'll have a look around to see if I recognise anyone.

Munkholt. Do come along if you can make it; the pub is just opposite the Freemason's Hall main entrance. You simply cannot miss it. Things are still looking hopeful! It sure would be great if I get a chance to meet so many of you fellas the first time I'm staying in London.

Munkholt,
I've sent you a personal message through the forum with my mobile number - if you have managed to make it over to London would be good to meet with you.

Lee can you confirm your Third is definitely the 8th of April NOT the 1st as that is what I had in my Organiser? If you could get a Summons sent to me or scan and e-mail same I would be obliged. In any event I will be there! (possibly with Bro Neil Pritchard if he can make it).
Now who will be at the Pillars tomorrow Saturday 12th? I aim to be there 2.30pm onwards trains and tube permitting. Obviously Andrew and Tony , but who else? Please let me know. My picture has been posted, I'm a fat geezer with a beard and an Edinburgh accent, (NOT the picture of the Tortoiseshell Cat!), and a double Bowmore, Oban, or Glenmorangie would be welcome!
See you there, emergencies excepted.

Thom
Sorry you missed us on Saturday, I spent a short time with Andrew in the pillars before TM and The Gnostic turned up, but I had to go across to my meeting before you could get there, and Andrew et al went to a pub near by that wasn't as busy as the Pillars.
Hopefully I'll meet up with you this evening.

I met with Andrew long enough to have a brief chat, and shook hands with Steve, and kind of waved at Tony....
They went off to another watering hole as it was hellish busy in the pillars. I had to go off to my meeting, so didn't get to meet with Thom, but did speak several times on the phone over the weekend - usually as he surfaced from some tube station! If all goes well I may meet with him this evening for a chat.

Thanks to all for wanting to meet up - even if circumstances made it impossible. Gives me great hope for meeting freemasons in the future, internationally. Special thanks to Bod for taking me to a couple of nice pubs, and taking the time.
Also visited the Freemason's Hall, which was quite impressive. Forgot to ask: how many individual lodges (I mean, where the ritual takes place) are in the building, and are dedicated to the different degrees or refurnished to suit the work for that evening?
More on my initiation date to follow soon - you're all more than welcome (I'm sure).

Thom,when is your initiation ??
I have never been to Denmark.
I am sure Mrs Staffs and Mrs Bod would love a weekend there ??
Food for thought Boys ?
Seriously though flights to Copenhagen in June are about 40GPB each way.
Now thats a bargain.
I can just see it the MFL forumites on tour !!!

You're being extremely kind. Considering that I don't know anybody in the lodge, you would be like extended family ... Still needs final confirmation, but it looks to be November 23. It'll be chilly here, but you can do some Christmas shopping. Not sure how many we can find shelter for in my apartment, but you're certainly more than welcome! It would also give us something of a reference point if somebody here on the tFoL (other than me) had experienced the Swedish Rite. Also: we only paid £50 for a return ticket to Stanstead! (with EasyJet)

thomas,You are our family .we are all brothers if you had forgotten .
we already know you enough to want to share the experience that is going to happen to you that has already happened to us.
And kieran if Mrs Bod is willing then Mrs Staffs would have some company if i took her with me.
And wouldnt those women just love the chrisrtmas shopping.
And i dont doubt that by spreading the word i know a few who would love to visit a lodge in Copenhagen.
Now wheres that phrasebook.
