All being well I will be inducted into Charles Edward Keyser Conclave #105 at MMH on Wednesday 6th April, at 4.30pm, I've also been advised that I will be elevated into City of London RAM on Monday 9th May at the Gun, E1, appx 5pm.
Should any suitably qualified brother wish to attend please contact me to make arrangements.

Thanks Chris, the apron has arrived and looks great - Mrs Bod particularly liked the rainbow edge! Tho someone did ask if it was anything to do with gay pride......

Tho someone did ask if it was anything to do with gay pride...... Well, there's that, of course but it is also the colours of peace.

Sorry I can't be there Bod, but I know you will enjoy and the significance of the colours of the trim of your Apron and your Breast Jewel will of course be explained and have no connection whatsoever to the other matter mentioned.

;D
Thanks Steve, someone said to me a few weeks ago that RAM causes a lot of debate amongst members and non-members alike, and I'm intrigued to find out more so I can join in the debates - apprently it divides opinion between those for and against....

Some look on RAM as a Degree tacked on to the system. Although a RAM lodge is "moored" to a Mark Lodge, (here in England), and a Member of RAM has to be a Mark Master Mason, you will find that it has its own very distinct Legend and Symbolism and some would consider that it ought to be part of the Allied Masonic Degrees.
Of course there are the diehards who parrot on that "There are only Three Degrees in Freemasonry, EA, FC, MM in Craft together with the Royal Arch" Nowadays I simply ignore them!

I seem to recall reading somewhere that this is how it operates in the US Subject to confirmation (I've been told it's printed in the summons but no one has told me officially yet!!!) my elevation is scheduled for 20 May Good luck for tonight bod Wayne

We wouldn't want to see our Bod getting messed up in that nasty "peace"-business! ;D Sincerely, hope you're having a great evening.

Kieran I hope you enjoyed your elevation this evening, welcome to the Honorable Fraternity of Royal Ark mariners. The Royal Ark mariner Degree is actually older than the Mark Degree, it is just that it was suffering from a severe lack of numbers and was almost extinct so The mark actually stepped in and saved it and insisted that all RAM lodges should be moored to a mark Lodge. In another section we have talked about favorite pieces of ritual, The RAM ceremony contains 3 of my favorites, the working tools, the explanation of the steps and the inner workings of an installation ceremony are all quite beautiful. BTW I am afraid I am not around much at the moment I am heavily commited at work at the moment, I havent even been to a meeting for over 3 weeks now! I am sure you havent missed me!

Thank you - but I didn't have to do much!
A very good meeting last night - the RAM was quite special, good ritual, well presented and good lessons. And the Mark meeting was good too, got my MMM GL cert, which was nice, followed by an excellent FB - very convivial!

Well I finally got confirmation of the date of my Elevation into RAM yesterday - it takes place Friday night!
Fortunately a friend saw my name in the summons and tipped me off as I had received no formal notification
Still I've been told that it's a lovely degree so I'm looking forward to Friday night

Yesterday i was told by the SW of my Craft Lodge that at his mark meeting next month he will propose me for Duke of Richmond Mark lodge no 1025 and hopefully i will be advanced the meeting after their installation which is the second monday in October.
this will give me a good few months to collate a few Brownie Points before i tell the Missus.
