Another 1 day of symopsium of lectures held by Lodge Hope of Kurrachee in Kirkcaldy Fife. It was cancelled last year to to unforseen circumstance which was a dissapointment. Those who are regulars (Proton) will know that the quality of lecturers are second to none. In the past regular speakers have been Mathew Scanlan, Neville Cryer, Jan Snoek, etc. I will be going, but only up and down on the one day as that is the only day I can get off work. Relaxed atmosphere, casual dress, and plenty of grub ;D www.lodgehope337.org.uk/symposium05.htm

Sounds like a good event - But the distance from me is a bit of a killer

I am looking to attend and present a paper perhaps depending upon commitments. Yes, forester it is a long way. But one can do it by careful planning, cheap flights on the internet and even cheap train fares on the internet too. I have just moved back to the south east too. So I know about the distances one has to travel! I know that Prof Andrew Prescot attends and he travels up to Kirkcualdy, Fife by train from Sheffield. One could drive it but it is best to spread the journey over two days, and benefit from the beautiful countryside! Proton
