Am about to change employers, so will have to wait 'til I start new job - then ask for leave. Can't see it being a huge problem at that time of the year.

ALARM OFF
After some back and forth with my Proposer, we have locked the date on November 23 after all. Sorry for the confusion.

I had dinner with my Proposer yesterday, and the next time I'll see him will be when he comes to pick me up. He still stands by the offer of giving visitors a tour of the splendid Hall, if you have enough time. He'll also procure an English version of the whole (Swedish) ritual (which he promised to be very rich and beautiful). And what else ... oh yeah, of course I'll take time out from work to entertain guests, and offer lunch or dinner at my place. And return the visits as soon as I have my FM's Passport.
It's getting very real.
As a PS, my wife is also set for joining the women-only lodge here in Copenhagen. They are very busy starting a second lodge (good for them!), so it probably won't be until early next year. Exciting times.

Your excitement is palpable Munkholt - I wish Australia was closer.... All the very best for your special night. You and your wife will find much more to talk about very soon. Good wishes to you both.

If I don't speak with you beforehand, I wish you the very best for your initiation next week. You'll love it, and remember that all of us (err, those of us who are on the square, anyway) have been in your shoes, have felt exactly what you're feeling and want nothing but the best for you. I found that to be comforting in the lead up to my own initiation.

Well, that was ... interesting. Full report will follow – but I'm meeting Chas and Doug for lunch soon, so it will have to wait a bit. Let me just say a big thank you to everybody on this board – support, encouragement and teaching hs been overwhelming. Thanks all.
