Thank you for you posts everyone - except the ones about circumference (refer to the quote in my signature) - and thank you so much to all who attended and those who wanted to but were unable for whatever reason. Those who made it dwarfed our own membership and made for an absolutely fantastic evening. It's definitely not going to be something I'll be forgetting for... well... ever. For those who've not dined at Clerkenwell before, I feel I must apologise for the main course. Although I'm told it's their best menu item, its quality was far from it. But I think the entree and dessert made up for it.

Have to agree Bro Matt that the soup was first class but I am not a great fan of fish and chips. I do know that some Lodges which meet at Clerkenwell are thinking of dining at a pub or restaurant instead and there are plenty around that area as costs are increasing and the question of VFM for food is being asked.
However, even "The Piece of Cod which passeth all Understanding" in no way detracted from the enjoyment of a most wonderful evening in a happy Lodge with good company.

Steve.. as and ex Sea side boy you may well question the definition of that piece of Cod ?
Us seaside boys well knew that the caterers were fobbing of the Cockneys with a bit of Huss or Rock Salmon if you wanna be porsh geezers.
Mutton dressed up as Lamb ?
It was quite a FISHY TALE ;D qnd as questionable as the changing colours of Bods hair. ;D
Mind you i like a bit of huss and it was a nice large bit.
