ever seen a pregnant man? That is no big deal, with sperm an egg and science who needs anybody to be pregnant. In fact with progress and DNA who needs sperm and an egg. I guess we lost our fins when we left the primal soup. ;D

Maat
Perhaps you need to chain yourself to the railings in front of any lodges that have them, just like in the days of getting the vote.
Sometimes I can't help but think that many men are simply scared of the power of women. Women sometimes appear to be put down in a bid to comfort the egos of us poor blokes.
I still maintain that in wider society some of the most Masonic people that I have met have been women. Men may talk the talk, but it is my experience that it is women who more often walk the walk.

Here is a direct quote from UGLE itself which to my mind DOES recognise the Regularity of Female Freemasonry.
......................................................................................
"Statement issued by UGLE - 10th March 1999
There exist in England and Wales at least two Grand Lodges solely for women. Except that these bodies admit women, they are, so far as can be ascertained, otherwise regular in their practice
There is also one which admits both men and women to membership. They are not recognised by this Grand Lodge and intervisitation may not take place.
There are, however, discussions from time to time with the women's Grand Lodges on matters of mutual concern. Brethren are therefore free to explain to non-Masons, if asked, that Freemasonry is not confined to men(even though this Grand Lodge does not itself admit women). Further information about these bodies may be obtained by writing to the Grand Secretary." .........................................................................................
My italics for emphasis.
So there you have it. UGLE accepts the REGULARITY of Women's Freemasonry but it is Co-Masonry which is rejected by it.
That should squash the argument of certain Male Masons who refuse to accept that Women too can be Freemasons.

... ah fellas - what can I say - "why can't they be like you are, perfect in every way..." Thank you, thank you from the women of the world! Stewart your mention of chaining myself to railings set me wondering ... my subconscious bought up the tarot card Strength in response. In particular the Rider-Waite illustration where the beautiful lady (the women of the world) is GENTLY opening the mouth of the Fiery Lion - by using her energy, courage, self control, learning, fortitude and power. ...see here for picture referred to above www.tarot-card.net/tarot-cards/strength.htmIn looking for this illustration I found a very interesting site on the card in question... which will make you ponder the Four Tassels once again.. www.tarothermit.com/strength.htmI found it quite interesting to see the women pictured with Pillars in several and the Man beating heck out of the poor animal with his club.... What can I say Maat (with her big spoon)
