I find it surreal to be talking with one person in private messages using their real name, then in open posts using their forum name. At the same time being aware that when I refer to someone else in either I have to be cautious to not 'give away' anything. Given that some times there are two or three different conversations taking place on line at the same time, I somtimes forget who I am let alone you lot. Does anyone else have this problem or am I just getting even older.

It's us difficult people who use 'handles' causing the problems, isn't it?? I use 'bod' most places I post - it's a lot less distinctive than my given name - healthy paranoia?

Bod, Even the paranoid can have enemies. I don't blame you.

Interseting question Mick. I can identify to an extent but these things do happen on all sorts of fora and I guess this place is no exception. Just imagine how those actors cope in the soaps. For years they refer to their acting colagues using their soap names and their real names. No wonder many end up in re-hab or worse, commiting suicide!

it's a lot less distinctive than my given name I don't know, boyo... Dafydd is a perfectly marvellous name.
