Some rugby news. For those who have an interest in these things Ireland beat Scotland 40 points to 13. It seems as though they are looking good for their well anticipated encounters with the French and the English in the weeks ahead

I expect tickets will be as rare as rocking horse droppings, however, Cardiff is still a great place to be on 6 nations match days - and Ireladn Wales will be an awesome match. This years tournament has started brilliantly, it's very open, the Scots have been unlucky against France and systematically taken apart by the Irish. England have yet to turn up, and the Italians are playing a stronger game than we've seen for some time. Can we wait a whole two weeks for the next installment???

ICan we wait a whole two weeks for the next installment??? It will be hard but well worth the wait. It great to see many of the members are keen fans of the sport. I've always love rugby. Best game on the face of the earth. Well, far better that that weak game called soccer. Hope Vinni Jones doesn't read this

With England's lamentable performance against the Welsh and quite frankly unbelievable performance against the French now behind us, I'm just left with the (faint) hope that the Irish will receive a backlash and we'll start playing a bit more like an international rugby team and a bit less like Inglethorpe village under 11 schoolgirls.

Little Julie Saunders from No. 12 can't kick to save her life. Now, Flithill and Dogsbury Primary School Second XV - now there's real talent...

I think you chaps are being a bit unfair to England. Let's not forget they did win the World cup! Sadly they're plauged with injury and are missing some of their great players. Just goes to show how important certain individuals can be to a sport.

Well - with a slight tongue in cheek
A seven year old boy was at the centre of a courtroom drama today when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of the boy.
The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge awarded custody to his aunt.
The boy however confirmed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and refused to live there. When the judge suggested that he live with his grandparents the boy cried out that they beat him more than anyone.
Then in an unprecedented move, the judge dramatically allowed the boy to choose who should have custody of him.
In a final ruling yesterday, custody was granted to the RFU as the boy firmly believes that England are not capable of beating anyone. ;D

Wayne, I am in stitches. I think you should repost that on the other joke thred Bill said: "Well Leo - we have to get in early or the Welsh, Scots and Irish will beat us to it" Nicely said ;D For me, as a bit of an enthusiast for the actual game of rugby (as opposed to a follower of a particular Country or Nation) I have to admit that I have always had a begrudging respect for the English style of playing. Naturally, I'm referring here to how they played when they won the World Cup. But clearly they're going through the mill right now and need to do some serious work in order to get the players to gell more together. Perhaps I've been a bit unfair with regards to "gelling" when the reality is that they desperately need a kicker. I read a report recently explaining that if they had been more successful in their kicking they would have won the last seven or eight matches! But regardless of their problems I don't believe we should write them off just yet. It may not be too late to turn things around. But having said all that, nothing would give me greater pleasure then to see Ireland beat England when England is playing at their best
