Not Really an outburst Kevin is it.
Just Steve speaking his mind and not beating around the bush.

Kevin, As a stranger in a strange land (Australian living in England) I recognise that Taylorsman is also of similar ilk (Scotsman living in England), and really can't find anything against you in his posting. You mention being aware of his opinion of Antipodeans (suggesting a negative sense) - I'm unaware of any animosity in his view of people in or from that region. Although we don't see a great deal of each other, I consider Taylorsman not just a brother but a friend - and I hope he considers me in the same light. It's possible that there have been personality conflicts between him and people who happen to be Antipodeans, but I'd hardly call that a bias or prejudice. I have personality conflicts with some Australians - I'd hardly call myself anti-Australian. It's true that humour is a very cultural specific topic and, if anything, I'd have expect Scots, Strines and Kiwis to be reading off the same page on the topic - we have similar personality make-ups. This includes opinion, forthrightness and stubbornness, too, so it's beholden upon us to make sure we get our points across in a manner that provides the least opportunity for misunderstanding. That also means picking your audience. It also means that those who like to be upset and outraged (and there are plenty of them and they're breeding more effectively than rabbits) should simply steer clear of what they dislike. As with TV - if one doesn't like what one sees, change the channel or don't watch it.

To make matters clear I have absolutely no problem with Aussies or Kiwis as a group, but certain individuals from those countries are a pain in the a&se!

Hey This is not a wind up... Read through the Old Male craft rules saying what you might do, and not do, to whom etc .... It is impossible not to chuckle

Do you mean the Antient Charges? These were read to me in Operatives and figuratively I could not have had an alcoholic drink, sexual intercouse, even with my wife, and many other activities until "loosed from my bonds".
BTW I am NOT advocating marital infidelity earlier on in this thread but even an old sobersides like myself can recognise an obvious joke such as the Cadbury - Rowantree piece and act accordingly.

Taylorman, I can't lay my hands on the list but remember the inference that certain darstardly deeds must be not done to a Mason, didn't mention you couldn't do them to a Non - Mason

In the Craft Third Degree there is such a listing of how a Master Mason should act towards another Master Mason and also to his wife, his sister and his child.

So, this tsunami joke, was it the one where the aeroplane is passing over and the captain speaks to the passengers over the intercomm?
I heard that one at a recent harmony, and I must admit I was shocked. But I also laughed, because it was funny in isolation, and because I didn't want to look a lemon. I was conflicted over it, laughing and horrified at the same time. That's the compelling thing about black humour: tasteless when you are telling it about other people who are suffering, but essential for your own survival in time of adversity.
