Masonic lodge supports community programs in Bristol By BOB MARTIN Article Date: Friday, December 21, 2007 The Masons of Union Lodge has continued with its time-honored custom of recognizing various community organizations as well as reward them with donations for their work. "This is a very special night," said George Clay who serves as the Worshipful Master at Union Lodge 79. "The Bristol community is very lucky to have such wonderful organizations. We feel as Masons, and it is part of our duty, to help support you and work with you as part of the community. I cannot say enough about the importance of all of these organizations here this evening." Representatives of the organizations honored received donations Wednesday as well as spoke about their programs. These organizations included Bristol Fire Company, Newfound Area Nursing Association, Boy Scout Troop 50, Camp Mayhew Program, Newfound Area D.A.R.E. Program and Bristol Community Services. According to Paul Fraser of the Masons, the proceeds from the N.H. Marathon, spaghetti supper and money from the Grand Lodge of New Hampshire are responsible for the money donated. www.citizen.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071221/GJNEWS02/5082097/-1/CITIZEN
