The Grand Orient of the United States is exactly what I'm interested in. How do I sign up? Best thing you can do is visit their website, however, I don't believe they initiate women, however if you contact them directly they will be able to clarify the situation and explain fully how to become a member. Incudentally, what is about GO US that appeals more than say the AFHR co-masonic route?

Quoted fro 2 bowl cain: "The Traditional Cosmopolitan system is engaged in human rights, environmental sustainability, scientific advancement, and issues that relate to freedom of speech and the press."
Good morning Brethren:
Is the Grand Orient of the United States accepting applications; because it is exactly what I'm interested in? If it is; please let me know how I may transfer my pending appliication from the American Federation of Human Rights (AFHR) Co-masonry's Eagle Lodge in New York to The Grand Orient of th United States? Where are some GOUSA lodge's? If there is only one; I am willing to travel to it monthly; as it is exactly what I'm looking for.
Sincerely:
"D"

Quoted from Penfold: "Incudentally, what is about GO US that appeals more than say the AFHR co-masonic route?"
Good morning Brother Penfold:
I went to the website and a circle of men & women are representing the lodge at http://www.thegrandorientoftheunitedstates.com; hence my assumption that women will be allowed to apply.
To answer your curiosity, I'm very interested in advancing medical, agricultural, and alchemy scientific research as I have a bachelors in biology and my current master's is in psychology. After taking three master level psychology course, Jung is my favorite (smile).
Brother Penfold, I truly appreciate you response to my question. I was beginning to feel like a fly that was swatted in a meeting (smile). Your kindness is appreciated.
Always Best Regards,
"D"

The Grand Orient of the United States is a masculine organization. That being said that are several other options, some that we have close relationships with. I can recommend not only AFHR which is a fine organization that I hold a great deal of respect for. There is also the Le Droit Humane, The George Washington Union, the Feminine Grand Lodge of France (which has a lodge in Canada) and the Feminine Grand Lodge of Belgium which has a lodge in New York City. All of those Masonic organizations are excellent. I could assist you in facilitating contact with any of them if you so wish.
Sincerely, Brandt

Greetings!!
I don't mean to add to any confusion (or cause any) but there are two AFHRs in the US.
One is the Obedience to which I belong, full name: Honorable Order of American Co-Masonry, American Federation of Human Rights.
The other is LDH's American Federation, which also is called "American Federation of Human Rights".
Just thought I'd mention that.

Hi Brethren:
You are correct in that GOUSA is a masculine membership; my hopes and wishes have been shattered. Alas, I will have to keep reading.......
Best regards,

Hello Brother Imakegarb:
I spoke with Brother Rosario & Brother Lylia at AFHR and my application will be ready to re-submit during the first quarter of 2009.
Many thanks for the guoted information as listed above. When you have time, do you know what the main differences are between the two?
Sincerely,
"D"

Good afternoon Brother Brandt:
Sorry, I didn't realize that you already posted on that GOUSA is a masculine fraternity. I'm not familiar with the Feminine Grand Lodge of Belgium in New York City; are they involved in the scientific charities?
Are you the same Brother Brandt that directed me to AFHR approximately 10 months ago? I'm located Upstate New York, not much up here but Hillary Clinton, an old General Electric Plant and deer.
I was kinda hoping for GOUSA; but I'll work with the hand that is dealt me (a little card humor).
Brother Brandt; I have no doubts that you will be very successful performing any role at GOUSA. Here's wishing you many blessings, success, good health, and joy from He who guides us. Who knows maybe I'll meet you at one of the Masonic gatherings in the near future.
Best Regards,
"D"

D, Once initiated you will be welcome at any of our lodges. Regarding AFHR (thats the one that Karen is working under, and that I directed you to a while back), they are fine organization that I think highly of. LDH (the other one) is also a fine organization that is highly respected. There are several options for you. I did mention the Feminine Grand Lodge of Belgium and their lodge in NYC. That is also a good way to go. I know the secretary there and could assist in that route if you were interested. Karen could of course help you along with AFHR but it sounds as if you are already moving forward. Check your email and give me a call sometime.
