Perhaps we should reflect on the millenium bug of old. The calander bug is less scary.

Perhaps we should reflect on the millenium bug of old. The calendar bug is less scary. Its scary that there are boy who cried wolf style tactics being implemented. So that when the disasters do start taking place everyone will be caught off guard and be relatively unsuspecting of the perpetrators. Why would you guys execute operation with all eyes on you? I bet after 2012 when another year is prepared for infamy the third time will be the charm. Never let your guard down.

A disaster or series of disasters you can prepare for must be man-made. Nature operates according to no mans clock.

there is also recent discovery of a binary solar system that if super-nova'd would basicly melt us in the southern point of the release. like, the ring goes out and the middles make a sharp line... that is pointed straight at us. light side.. these kind of cosmis events might not even be perceivable to us before it happened. we might not even realize it. but this is all be speculated on.

I don't buy into prophesies. Some seem to work, most never come true, and the entertainment industry makes money hand-over-fist related selling books and movies. If the planet ends, it's not really that big a deal. Think about it. There are far planets more that could possibly support life if they do not already.
