Hang on a minute, have I got this right?
A thread was moved by a moderator because it was interpreted as a personal attack on another member of the forum. Fair enough.
But in doing so, the moderator launched a personal attack on the member originating the thread, calling him "sarcastic" and, in effect, accusing him of "bullying".
I think I understand why Bro. Tamrin would be upset by this. On the face of it, it would indeed appear to be a case of "Do what I say, not what I do". Or am I missing something?
And yes, I fully understand that being a moderator is a difficult job and I thank them all for the hard work they put in on a voluntary basis.

OK, I will hang on with you.
Yes the thread was moved. No the Mod did not launch a personal attack. Bro. Tamrin started this thread and quoted an explanation that was left by that Mod.
Perhaps you would enjoy discussing toilet paper and how to fold it, as one thread started by Tamrin was, but it is not a subject the Mods want discussed on this forum, so lets get real here. Everything is done for a reason, I most certainly would not stand by and watch as say Middlepillar or lauderdale victimised a member of this forum. No more than they would allow me to do so.
I have tried to explain the position of the Mods, I can not make you agree. But these are decisions that all the Mods have agreed 100% on.
Anyone that knows our history would know that lauderdale and I often disagree, but I am making it clear to anyone who wishes to listen on the conduct of this forum we stand together.
I would point you to the very few rules of this forum:-

Yes you are quite right; I removed a thread that was completely innappropriate for any Forum let alone a masonic one, and was started as a direct (sarcastic) attack on another member of this Forum. If you check through any of my moderating you will see I have never previously posted a statement or anything other than the usual this Thread has been moved etc. However, all the Mods agree not only was this topic innapproriate but the majority thought further action should be taken. I posted that sarcasm in my opinion was a form of bullying and made a statement for all the members to see. This was so there can be no mistake, we will not tolerate this sort of behaviour. Tamrin knows exactly what he has and why he has done what he has done. Why try to be clever and sarcastic to prove a point? As Bill has said most Forums wouldnt let you discuss this but we do. I will only repeat this is the first time in all the years I have been a Mod that I felt it neccessary to publicly criticise a poster, I hope I never have to again. But if members think they can play games on this Forum then they will find they will be suspended immediately. I think pretty much all has been said on this subject, I will leave it open for a couple of hours and then lock it. I see no sense in promoting continued argument.

Well, to be fair, I hadn't seen the deleted thread nor its subject matter.
Thank you for your explanation, Bro. Middlepillar.
I still think it would have been enough to delete the thread without the public upbraiding of Bro. Tamrin (or to have accompanied it with an explanation, so that it didn't seem to be just a personal attack on him). But, as I said above, you all have a difficult job to do and it is not one I envy.

As Bill points out the mods are all in full agreement regards the action taken by Chris [Middlepillar].
The topic was in poor taste and was rightly removed.
