I was well impressed with their performance, too. This is one of the really good things about this world cup, you just never know how things are going to go.
Spain tomorrow. looking forward to that big time.

North Korea surprised me. I was expecting a 3 or 4 nil match. They did quite well. Brazil didn't seem up to their normal spirited performance.

Spain were a major let down. less said about their efforts the better. Switzerland, on the other hand were magnificent and well deserved their 1-0 win.
The South Africa Uruguay match was a great game but it wasn't for the South Africans who lost 3 nil. I was very impressed with Uruguay. deserved winners in my view.

The tournament has not turned out to my predictions as of now. I am impressed with the quality of the up-and-comers. Good for them.
Like you, I expected better out of Spain but Switzerland commanded the ball for the last half. Respect due and given. If Brazil doesn't get their game together I will have to revise my original predictions. I thought that we were going to see a monumental battle between Brazil and Germany. Now I am not sure.
France seems to have lost their game, Zidane is around anymore, perhaps that has something to do with. Henry is still on the roster but he is only one man.
I hope that Howard (USA tender) heals properly before he drags himself out onto the pitch again. That was a rough shot to take.
I am impressed with so many so far and quite surprised by the performance of the old reliables.

Argentina seems to be leading their group now with a good win against South Korea. Greece came back and showed up. Just finished winning against Nigeria. France v Mexico in just a short while. It is still a rough tournament. The play has been strong for the most part all around.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to watch the two earlier matches you mentioned but I will be watching this evening and I am hoping Mexico will be triumphant against the French.

Yes, well done to the Mexicans, they played to win. France now need a miracle to remain in the tournament. Germany play later today. Really looking forward to that

Hey You Guys - We Play Soccer also : Points Table today England 2 Points New Zealand 2 Points Is there anything NZ isn't any good at Well done to them for managing to draw with the Italians. Now, let's hope they progress further in this World Cup. If NZ [as a nation] gets so behind their football team would that mean eventually they'd forget about rugby? If it happened, then other nations would stand a better chance against their ABs ;D
