In our Lodge even when we were part of LDH we have never had the optional preliminary ceremony.
That's interesting, because I'm looking at the 1992 Edition of the Ritual, which precedes the secession of those Lodges which subsequent to the Supreme Council's decision to declare the practice referred as dogmatic and non-permissible formed the Eastern Order of International Co-Freemasonry.
These copies were in use at the time, and in accordance with the decree issued at the time, the dogmatic practice - one single line in the whole book - has been manually struck out.
There are Brn.'. with older versions in our Federation which also have this passage in. In mine it's a short section immediately following the Order of Procession and directly before the Procession.
Do you still use the rituals as printed and authorised under the Supreme Council of LDH, or do you print your own now?

anubis & billmcelligott, It would be appreciated if you would both include english translations for your non english postings, as I cannot follow the discussion. As i have not studied either Latin or Greek I can only guess at the meaning of your recent postings. Kind Regards, Hubert
omni: In my Lodge the Secretary is a hugh bully along with control issues. if anyone even asks a question he files masonic charges against them. He controls members mostly because they are afraid of him.

foriamhim: To omni: Grow some balls, that lodge is yours as well as every member in that lodge. If you are right, its not your problem. Nobody likes the ugliness of masonic charges. Light will always illuminate darkness, don't be afraid, be a better man.
