I'm currently reading Lost Secrets of the Sacred Ark by Laurence Gardner. In Chapter 7 "Electrikus", he writes the following: "One way or another, electricity was always perceived as the manifestation of a god associated with mountains, whether that god be Zeus, Yahweh, or some other. In his scholarly work, The Shining Ones, linguist and geologist Christian O'Brien relates the derivation and derivatives of the ancient word El, which defined a god or lofty one (as in El Elyon and El Shaddai), but which in all its variant forms denoted a bright or shining being. The terms electricity, electron, and electrikus all stem, therefore, from an original base concerning the bright substance of God." Reading the above, I immediately thought of this thread. Ma'at also gets a mention a couple of pages earlier (the goddess, not the esteemed MFOL poster!). Interesting synchronicity

I have actually come to the conclusion that mankind is placed on earth to experience hardship and challenges - we have to run the course so to speak. Perservere throughout the ordeal of our initiation. A school. Schools present challenges to be overcome.
Why must there be hardships? Did not Jesus say that God takes care of us in every moment like the birds of the sky and the lilies of the field.
Of course we can create on a grand scale, we see that all around us. But the general populace still cannot acknowledge that there were those in the past whose expertise excelled even our current achievements. They still argue about whether the great flood and the earth upheavals of those time ever happened - despite ample scientific evidence.
Re: Elohim, aliens, ghosts, all unusual folk... throughout the ages, in all cultures and civilisations people have reported the same sorts of meetings. We have canonized saints who saw shining ones.
In the mind's eye, NOT in physical person to person.
I believe anyone who says they have seen a ghost because I have had a close encounter with one myself (full 3D version). Departed ones have come to tell me happy family news... unknown by anyone at the time.
I've had the 6th sense since I was a small child. Yes, Virginia there are ghosts. That is a physical reality. However, a ghost or released spirit is very different from being visited by angels, messengers, or messiahs. Visitations happen in the mind's eye.
Myths &, parables (simplified stories for those that can't handle The Truth ;D) have proved to be very useful. Myths are regularly busted (Troy - Atlantis/Mu ? = sunken civilisations which are now verified by underwater photography).
Yep, Troy did exist. Yes, I believe the Atlantis story was formed from the destruction of Santorini. However, these stories run deeper than the physical location. Homers stories of Troy and Ulysses journey home are about the deeper understanding of life. The stupidity of fighting over honor. That you must break the spell cast by Circe and live a real life and not just some fantasy.
Atlantis is a warning of what happens when you change the direction of your spiritual focus prematurely. If you open the gates of "Grace" before you fully complete the alchemy path, then annihilation is the result. It is like mixing matter and anti-matter. I have added the spiritual progression described in the story of Atlantis to my website. You are welcome to view it at: www.JesusWedding.com.
The conclusion reached by all those who have not experienced other realities. Which is fair enough. But it would seem that there are a whole lot of emotional and adrenaline overloaded people out there in the world, including highly respected scientists, world leaders, doctors, and lets now forget highly trained observers such as policemen, pilots, researchers. The Sufi's explain that spirituality comes in two different forms: Sober and Drunkenness. There are supporters and detractors on both sides of this issue from as far back as the time of Mohamed. Both have their benefits and drawbacks. I personally benefit from sober spirituality because I need to understand what I have experienced, but I also know that many need to learn to feel. However when those who feel, intensify that characteristic of feeling, they create an unbalanced person who is scattered, unproductive, and just down right mean.
My favourite officers in Masonry? The two deacons and the Principal Sojourner have been very good friends to me.
[/size] I'm not a freemason, so I do not understand what these positions represent. What I know comes from personal experience and study. It just so happens that Freemasons have studied the same subjects I have and for the most part are interesting to talk to and provide other outlets of study that I would not have found on my own.

In Mathew "Look at the birds. They don't plant, harvest, or gather the harvest into barns. Yet, your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you worth more than they?
What he is saying is that we have hardship , but the hardship is not what is important, love yourself and your neighbour and God, that is what he wants.
Mathew 6:34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Sometimes I have serious chats to "Him Upstairs" I have no time for hippies who choose to sit on mountain tops and contemplate their navels, whilst expecting the rest of the world to feed them. I was chatting to Him once about this sort of thing and I got the words "no-one gets to heaven on someone elses shoulders". Note: I do exempt those members of contemplative orders from my harsh judgement The mind (consciousness) is a miracle worker and their minds can hold the balance when needed. 100% agree. And so easy to say or read and so hard to follow it seems.

Interesting synchronicity I love all of Gardner's books, I was really saddened by his passing over not too long ago. The 'shining' part of the beings, angels or men, is supposed to be tied up with the luminescence which eventuates with the 'body electrics' when one 'expands' one's consciousness. I am not a scholar, so excuse my poor choice of words in trying explain things. The masonic symbol of the point within the circle might symbolise what I an trying to say. The physical eyes see within a certain range but this range can be expanded upon. Certain exercises with both eyes and mind will enable one to see that which was formally hidden from them. There are those that can see auras and other things. But on the other hand there are those who by their own efforts energise themselves to such an extent that it enables even the uneducated eye or mind to feel and see their presence. We use the word 'charisma' (chrism - christening) when we feel an extraordinary persons presence and we sometimes say that some people are glowing or are radiant. Then there are some that can actually see that glow, or aura. These things are real not just words.

Lets not forget in this discussion that we all disappear under a very powerful microscope. We are just patterns of consciousness in reality and what we see with our physical eyes is that pattern vibrating at certain wave lengths. At other levels patterns of consciousness are more luminescent (or not).

Know what you are saying and tend to agree. However, it is hard to tell which eyes are operating when one is standing up with physical eyes wide open.

The deacons escort (lead) the candidates to where they need to be in the temple/lodge room. They are both guides and guards. They carry wands bearing doves (in our order anyway).
The Principal Sojourner 'leads Brn by ways they know not' ... and is the direct reflection of a Most Wise Sovereign, but at a lower level.
In ToL terms he would represent Tipareth or Yesod.
In Christian terms, he could be said to represent Jesus (son of the father and most like him so qualified to lead his younger Brn).
In masonic terms I would say that it is the Inner Voice, but that is just a personal opinion.
Perhaps other readers might like to offer their own opinions re the above, hopefully.

I like your dad, Bill. My dad was an inspiration too, a humble man, who was followed on walks by little children and animals. I once watched him being followed by a dog, a cat and a duck !

Know what you are saying and tend to agree. However, it is hard to tell which eyes are operating when one is standing up with physical eyes wide open. It is like watching your kids at the playground or pool and talking to a friend who is sitting on the park bench with you. Attention is divided between the two realities. Another way to think of it is when a security guard has an earpiece. He is watching the crowd, but is also getting private updates at the same time. You must have a quiet mind to see the visitation and/or hear the still small voice. It just takes practice. As far as the ritual, it is an experience that must be experienced. I don't think any amount of explanation will be able to convey the meaning, since I have no way to relate it to anything I have personally experienced.

Thats crazy about the smithsonian giants! It sounds similair to an albino trait, but albino as of now has never effected size. Perhaps nordic interaction?
So far to me being tall has only meant I have to grab alot of things for people, and/or including hitting my head alot.

IF you read the Book of Enoch (Noahs grandfather) it clearly outlines the Hierarchy of Heaven. At the top you have the boss of bosses, the Lord of Spirits, the one God to rule them all. His 4 top lieutenants are the angels Michael, Gabriel, Raphael and and Sephael. Therse are not the watchers, these are the 4 most powerful angels, just under the Lord himself. These Arch-Angels are the watchers of the Holy Watchers, The Holy Watchers or just "The Watchers" were left in charge of the Earth after God created us then departed back to Heaven. These Watchers grew attracted to our women and took wives for themselves. These wives spawned a race of giants that abused and enslaved most of the humans they encountered. The Watchers also let secrets slip to their wives about how to perform "spells" and they gave man the use of Iron and metal breastplates to wage war. God finds out about this and grows very angry. He eventually sends his Archangels back down to earth to punish The Watchers who dirtied themselves and corrupted Gods genetic creation. The story goes on from there and gets even more fantastic if you look at it with the right kind of eyes.

I vote aliens from a planet with less gravity. God doesn't have to send anyone anywhere to punush anyone. He could do that in an instant. I vote aliens with a big boss at the top. Genetic contamination. I vote disobedient aliens with physical bodies and too much testosterone.

You could be right (but so could I) Well that the giants taken care of.. what made them 'shining ones'? Work in a power plant too long? Shining suits of whatever? And how come the shining ones knew how to artificially inseminate very old women so they could become mothers (Sarah, Elizabeth) more importantly, why would they want to? Surely there would be better prospects for healthy babes from younger females? Did ordinary men know about artificial insemination way back then?

Shining because their auras were energised? Yep, I could go with that one. And that raises the question about extra bright lights blinding people. Maybe the blinding light conceals the coporeal body which it encases.

I learned something (from TV) last night which I never knew. The succeeding three generations of women married to Abraham's sons were ALL were incapable of bearing children naturally!!!
(and what an amazing coincidence that this bit of news came to me when we were discussing this subject on the forum. Love it when that happens)
