It is often quoted that Robert Wentworth Little started a masonic druidical order along the lines of the SRIA variously called the Masonic Order of druids and the Ancient and Archaeological Order of Druids.
The Ancient Order of druids in America (a modern pagan druidical group and no relation the fraternal Ancient Order of Druids) claims decent from this group. Has anyone actually come across much evidence for Little's groups in the form of ritual, publications or jewels. I have been to various places seeking information including the library and museum at UGLE but with no success at all. I have not found anything in the SRIA either.
Has anyone had any greater success?

S&F Barry Hi Barry The short answer is yes he did, I do not have the lineage as far back as Little but I know for sure that Desmond Bourke became the inheritor of The Druid Order that could be loosely connected with The SRIA, there are 3 Druid orders that work within The UK that I know about, two of those come directly from Bourke. I also know with certainty that at least one US group came over to England and had some ceremonial work carried out by The Chief Driuid (Of one of the lines) in the circle of Stonehenge by special permission. The Order of Druids and The Celtic Cross are Orders that are distinguised as part of The Ancient British Mysteries, they are worthy of research if this field interests you. Perhaps within your own research if you concentrate on Bourke and his history you may discover more, however like most of these small Orders they are quite secret and secretive.

Lovely - thank you for the head up on this. I was quite surprised not to find anything within the SRIA. Most of my research to date has focused on the Ancient Order of Druids. I have now come across both Beltaine and Solstice rituals which were practiced quite unusually within the AOD - ie they were official but outside the normal rituals they offered. What is most unusual is the the Solstice ritual which I estimate to be from the 1950's (and was used at Stonehenge) contains a version of Iolo Morganwg's druids' prayer which may have been 'borrowed' from the Universal Bond/British Druid Order. For anyone who is interested we are trying to bring together as much info as possible on the fraternal druids (particularly AOD and UAOD) at www.druidicdawn.org/celticanddruidarchive/fraternaldruids
