From time to time CoM in New Zealand advertise the fact we exist, offering any interested people a contact phone number for general enquiries. When contacted we advise that we do not request people join, only inform them of what we do/are & that they must of their own volition decide to ask to join, & then by the proper proceedure.

Hi Lynn123, Could you explain what "criaglist post" means. It is not a word I am familiar with. Is it particular to CoMasonry?
In terms of advertising, I have from time to time seen Male only orders actually advertise for members, in public newspapers.
As I noted above, here in New Zealand, CoM only advises that such Organisation exist. We stress to inquirers that it is NOT Masonic to ask people to join, but that they must from a favourable oppinion of what we do request to become a member themselves. What is Bad taste there? Many Male Craft I speak to don't even know that CoM is available!

I'm not sure what this started with, but criagslist is a free posting method for available/sale items on the internet...like the old style want ads of the sunday paper.

In New Zealand at the New Zealand National Agricultural Fieldays, which is a very big event lasting five or six days - I always stop at the Malecraft Freemason Stand - It is always well presented and certainly makes Freemasonry look attractive to those who seek.
