Dear Lee
Sounds like you're quite confused. I cannot answer all your questions for I am not a Mason yet (but im working on it). But I'll try to show you my perspective and opinion on some.
"I am 28, is it true that there are certain age restrictions in being 'unplugged from the matrix'? Am I already on my way to being unplugged?" - I dont believe its been unplugged from the matrix, it just a certain age that makes you start to think what you want to do with your life. Im 29, and Im on the same track. I think its something neurologic. The brain has start to come at ease, and a new chapter begins.
"Why are the evils of the world so much more prominent than the good? Is this a mere reflection of myself and my own experience?" - The "evils" scream louder. And therefor gets more attention. Look at the media, bad news gets the most headliners. There is a lot of goodness in the world, you just need to learn to see it. Try to be more optimistic. I know its easier said than done... Im not saying that you have to close your eyes for the evil in the world, we have to realize its there, and it will always be there. I always say : "When you choose to see the good in others, you end up finding the good in yourself"
"Why does it appear there are evil people in Masonry so much as good?" -Thats something that will happen everywhere, find a group, club, religion, whatever, and there will be weirdos among them. And again, they get the most attention.
"What do you believe is the true intent and purpose of Masonry?" - Becoming a better person.
"Why are some of the richest, most influential and powerful people in the world Masons yet so many ill deeds take place?" -It doesnt mean that when your a Mason you become more powerful. Within freemasonry your status doesnt mean anything. You can be a banker, or a baker, within the freemasonry everyone is equal on that matter.
"Why the flipping of horns so frequently and hand gestures by public figures in particular?" - I do not know if "flipping of horns" is masonic, but I do know that it originaly has nothing to do with evil or the devil. Its used in sign language for " I love you". Ths pinky is the "I", Between the index finger and the thumb the "L" is shown, and the "U" appears between pinky and indexfinger. It just very much misunderstood and misused.
"Are all rich men Freemasons or familiar with Masonry?" - No, i dont think so
Greetings!

Hi leeg! Glad to have you aboard! A lot of your experiences sound very similar to mine from about 4 years ago. (I was 30)
In truth none of these questions can be answered, as a solution would require ones choice. You will get knowledge, it is then up to the person on how they use it. To become the person you want to be, you have to make the choices that will lead you down that path. You will allways be who you are right now, regardless of other perceptions you know what that is. It will take a look inward to see its twists, so you can shape your destiny.
I have been on this website and others like it for about 5 years now, I am still not a member of an order and also am still reserved on signing up to masonry. This does not separate me from knowledge though, because I have made the choices to do so and back it up. I consider many people on all the sites I chat with to be my brothers and sisters. Now I have grown to find even more, even if they don't know it or me.
You are on the right path, you have the thoughts to guide your direction. You just have not seen a destination yet. Keep looking and you will see it. There is a lot going on upstairs, give things time to merge and settle.
There is also a side theory of mine that we undergo big changes like this every 10 or 15 years or so of our life, when a path of individual knowledge is set. Much like the mid life crisis, I think the brain is trying to bring everything together to condense the immensity of thoughts around the age of 30. I can see you are worried about wasting a second on this, but patience will be needed without a doubt.
Take everything in, all knowledge is sacred. When it comes back out, that is the growth we share.

Well this is an interesting twist on 'What is a mason' ?
The most important anf fundemental thing to understand about Freemasons is they are the people who ride the Bus next to you, ride the Train, drive the next car.
They go to Church, Yoga Class, talk politics, football, hockey, baseball and of course like to party now and then. But not in Lodge. In short they are just ordinary.
In my opinion Freemasonry is not an answer to all that is confusing, however like the good foundation of a house it will give that strength and stabilty that is needed for you 'the Superstructure' to last a very long time. It is the level playing field, the safe ground, the normal place in a world of conflict.
I do not believe that Masonry should be seen as any replacement for Religion or indeed as a Spiritual objective, some will disagree with me but I have never seen any case of a man giving up his Religion to convert to Freemasonry. For me it is and was a Spirit lifting experience never a replacement for my beliefs and I have never been asked to change or alter those beliefs.

My take on this dream you had Leeg is this:
You caught on to the rhythms of the world, and were even a part of them. You saw where this main stream rhythm lives, and who supports it. You felt what it can do to someone while being drained.
But you caught onto the rhythm, you changed the beat of your drum to not match theirs. You broke free from their trap and awoke. It may not seem like it Lee but you have already beat the trap and the sleeper is now awake.

Do you have a spiritual/inner discipline that you practice? Without a suitable practice, progress may be quite slow and disturbed by unnecessary influences.

The human form, in most cases, anchors what is commonly called Spirit. So the immediate tasks are:
- to make the form attractive to greater flows of Spirit - to manifest the Spirit more strongly.
Making the form more attractive to Spirit commences with a regular lifestyle, clean diet and good relationships.
Manifesting the Spirit more strongly can be accelerated by effective inner practices.
Perhaps the simplest of those is sitting quietly, upright, and putting one's attention into the heart (centre of the chest) and visualising a cool flame of Spirit. Visualise around the flame an aura of golden-white light. Push the light from the heart to fill up slowly each part of the body - toes to top of head. 15 to 20 minutes, twice daily.
This exercise is more profound than it looks and is sufficient for a long time. As progress occurs the experience changes subtly and adaptive improvements appear.
Best wishes

Awesome recording session in that studio! Loved the opener too! HAHA Thanks for the link!
My wife has had the same recent loss of family. She lost her mom, dad, and grandma all within a year. Grandma was 99 at the time, but both parents died of cancer related issues. She has had a hard time at this too, but she has also grown within it.
She can no longer blame her dad for certain issues, and she can no longer hide from her responsibilities by going to her mom (not that her mom ever let her in truth). She was forced into this but kept walking and now it is her key to self assurance. Because of this she has also grown to learn more about our energy and how it works, to reside in knowing her grandma, mother, and father may not be here but they have not disappeared either.
My point is pain is a part of life, as is happiness. Life ends on Earth but not at Earth. We cannot just decide one aspect in the array of life to live, we have to just do our best right now, and for every right now to come. When we see how people react right now, we then see our true reflection of self. Because regardless of what you thought during it, that is who you showed and how it was received. I think you do these things, I am just putting them into words to help you better understand its workings and offer any insight it may carry.
You talked of being in a darkness. I use this analogy ALOT. As it is one of my largest enemies in self and one of my greatest allies in others. It goes by many names but I just call it what it is, depression (no stable structure to stand on and no light to keep us moving forward). This was the "right now" choice though. I can also prove this.
Imagine yourself immersed in this deepest of blacks, as who you are right now, but alone and unaware. Then lets say someone offers a suggestion on how to deal with this new found placement. Regardless if the person listens or not, this suggestion is now 1 light within this darkness. It's light will stand out like a sore thumb in the picture. Some might turn their backs to stare back into the engulfing darkness, but the light never leaves. They are just not looking at it.
Do not be discouraged though if you cannot see the light. Your will of seeking knowledge and truth is also a light, because a light is only a path that has a surface. A way to go in the plethora of chaos. You will follow many paths, and you can only fail if you stop walking altogether.

Its funny and a lil weird, but I have placed billMC's avatar as one of my meditative mindsets of a man cycling steps from left to right eternally moving forward. These thoughts fit in that image portrayal to the core of my self.
Example: It is even hard for me to want to think about, as the length of its past journey makes me want to fall down and cry. To which I replace with the image again, as I must stay in the now and keep walking toward the light.

Binaurals are to condition the brain and program the subconscious mind. While valuable in their own way, they do not address the flow of Spirit.
The Spirit is more easily accessed in the Silence.

Excellent Sammy thanks, my bedroom wall is plastered with motivational quotes, ideas, pictures and dreams. Something you mentioned here is not dissimilar to a quote on my bedroom wall and yet another synchronicity saying to hang on in there. 'People are only failures when they stop trying. You only fail once you give up. Never give up.' This was a personal fabrication rather than copy and paste jobby. Being an overthinker I started to argue with this statement 'well what about when they have to stop trying in order to try in a different way?' 'Well, what if stopping trying is the key to acceptance of circumstance which allows growth to occur?' etc. etc. haha, the essence rings true I believe otherwise i'd not have broken free, waking and taking that huge breath.. The hooded figures may still have had me! Glad you enjoyed the video also, see I can play so the success, acceptance and belonging clearly needs to come from within. Of the three steps mentioned by Peter I have two of those in full order, it is the relationships I must grow and work on as I can be quite introspective, quite a hermit in the years following the losses. Maybe this is something my soul and the creator knows must be done, stop partying and passing time superficially to discover the real truth. As you recognise in your partner growth could come from even unfortunate circumstance if the opportunity is seen and accepted as a chance to grow. Something also seemingly commmon knowledge among Freemasons and spiritual practitioners is the truth of the law vs. legality. I see the legal act and statute world as evil, a fabrication, misguidance and unjust opportunist of contract law/peoples foolishness, serving corporate deeds not the best interests of the human. Can anyone offer opinions of how written law, government and authorities tie into their beliefs? A reason I ask is that job prospects seem to be jumping up out of nowhere in recent months, I have been off the radar so to speak for almost 5 years now working freelance and operating as a sole trader, escaping my MR. BLAH BLAH LEGAL FICTION WE WILL ROB YOU capitalist name. A job and income would be liberating in ways (albeit minor freedoms in comparison with what TV shows us/some epxerience), the opportunity to reintegrate socially and to be of use is also rather appealing. At the same time in seeing the legal vs lawful world for the lie and control system that it is leading the blind to their doom, it is impossible to say if the positives outweigh the negatives. I know this is off the beaten track stuff and freeman on the land movement types are quickly tarnished as nutters but I know there is truth in that there are certain social and legal/law priviliges (or more appropriately worded, realisations of truth) attained through being a Mason. I feel in limbo, being pulled in many directions and need to know the direction I choose is the one of freedom and liberation. I despise the systems the masses are subject to, the bread and circus lifestyles many lap up as something of value. Is Freemasonry the way to escape this nonsense? How must I be, who must I be, where must I be and what must I do to be freed and accepted as a brother? I see! I have mis-placed your position. I had wondered if you were now facing all the lights and not sure which to grab. It is easy to place too much importance on this choice. You will choose what you choose because that will be your choice when it comes. It is not right or wrong, but the path you choose to work best right now. First you will need to discover what it is you enjoy most. Then you will have to find a way for people to see value in it, and a medium to get it to them. These lights shine on you because you chose them as something to hold. Your path involves these lights but they are not you in whole. You in whole will be the path you create, then becoming the light that you are for others. I agree with the benefits of working the body and mind. It has been a long hard path for myself , but it is now coming to fruition. I love spirituality, physics, stones, nature, and much much more, but I had no means of making a living off this. Me and the family started rock hounding, and learning the trade. I have been consulting with my uncle, who is a old time rock hound and no longer hounding and just cutting and polishing what he has. I now was offered the use of my dads silversmith shop, and tubs of stones of every kind from my uncle at rock bottom prices (no pun intended). In my town there is HUGE metaphysical gatherings and events I will not only enjoy attending, but it will provide as well. So now I have three of my most favorite things as a opportunity for the means to make ends meet. I just had to discover what those things were first, to find how to get there.

I would agree Paul. Noises can be distracting, as well as be a interference with the natural rhythms. Sometimes the randomness of the naturally occurring sounds can be a meditation in itself.

>There must be a way out of this, is Freemasonry the way?
Freemasonry assists well in the first task: morality and right relationships.
It is less efficient in the following tasks and needs to be supplemented by inner disciplines.

Glad I am able to help!! I'm finding it very hard to enjoy getting involved in society or business as I see it all as greed and corruption, everything I get involved with seems someone is seeking to trick or gain unjust benefit. Even my closest relatives lie to me to make money. I'm tired of money and business, really wish we were back to living in the woods at times. TV, news, adverts, money, control, power, mind games, social economics, deception, where is that place where none of this exists? 6 feet under? My local lodge? Where am I even welcome or wanted despite my interests and good intent? All I meet are under his spell, I feel cursed at times. There must be a way out of this, is Freemasonry the way? Would I even be welcome? If I thought Freemasonry was for me or i'd be accepted i'd surely be involved already. So instead I continue to sit off in my box room thinking and seeking the answer. I know your frustration, as it is my own as well. We cant change the world in a day. But every day that passes is another opportunity for someone to be enlightened. This is lost in society, because it is all built from (like you said) greed, but also blood. The corporate rule is not society though. We might find our way to community life in America on our own, or we might be forced to it by destroying the Earth. I believe though it will come to pass. There is a way to self sustain any society through communities, it just hasn't taken because corporations don't profit from it. Which means it doesn't reach the stock market, which means it has no noticeable "value" to the system that governs our lives. Keeping the money as the only thing in existence working outside of the laws of gravity, and falling up to their pockets, and not down to our equality. At times I want to scream, but I must be realistic. This is not my planet alone. I am just a part of it. I must keep walking. I can speak my truths, and others hear it or not. So far though, your truths have had validation in our company. As well as ours to yours. You have brothers in your rank, if solace is what you need. I would also offer anything else I can as well.

Greetings leeg I understand your searching for answers. I have been on the path for many years now and am also a musician. I write songs as a way of helping my process through this life and music is a magical thing for me. Every morning I interact with my 'higher self' using a method I learned through initial intensive investigation of the ideomotor effect which I have since been able to develop and now use the computer and a couple of word documents in order to achieve this type of interactive communication successfully. There are many ways in which interaction with HS can be and is achieved and for me this particular method works well as it has the interactive conversational mode which I find rather useful and worthwhile as a great device for developing an intimate and ongoing relationship with that aspect of our self we all are connected with, but very few find this hidden reality and can spend their entire lives completely unaware of that connection, let alone how to foster and build upon the connection. I was thinking of creating a thread on the subject and sharing some of these insights I have gained through the practice over the years. Perhaps I will, but let me know if anything I have said has tweaked your interest and I can elaborate. Cheers William

William and Lee's enthusiasm in music has triggered a memory. I play bass for fun, im not that amazing but good enough to get by. But I was just going to play some background songs during a party. I played a while then decided to retune to drop D for more crowd appropriate songs.
This went on for a while, and I gave my fingers some rest. Then went back to retune in normal scale. While I was tuning though everybody was talking kind of at the same time I was plucking the strings. The mood had kind of changed into a sort of fluid motion in the room. I started getting lots of interference from the voices, but I noticed the cord along with the background noises was creating harmonics within the tuner. Very strange and random notes would pop up and hold sometimes for 5 or 10 seconds after the string had silenced itself, and then bounce around again to different notes from the room until the string was plucked again.
Kind of meditative I think. It was for me anyway.
Isnt your theories about similar things William?

It seems that there is some work yet to do on relationships. As this progresses Nature will admit you further into its mysteries.
In my observation, the best candidates bring their own light and the Greater Light responds.
It is usual for the mind to wander. Do not stress about it. When you become aware that you have wandered, easily bring your attention back to your heart
Visualise the light around the flame of Spirit - then push the light using the heart. It takes some practice to learn to use the heart.
There are yogas for the physical body, etheric body, emotions and mind and specialised yogas as well. Hatha yoga may be useful for you but the others might be left until you are clearer about what you are.
In principle it is, but note that no mainstream Grand Lodges claim to have the genuine secrets.
If you plan to join, you may like to look around at the local lodges to see if you are more attuned to the members of particular lodges. It is most important to find your own kind of brethren.

This last comment Peter. Would this be because the genuine secrets are from a individually based system? Masonry would be that of traffic signs along the journey. Giving guidance but not grabbing their wheel.

Good day William, Upon reading about ideomotor phenomenon I find this quite an interesting concept. My body carries out reflexive actions, i'd be keen to become conscious of these communications. Unsure if i'm on the correct path here but at times i'll think, why is my little finger like that? Why are my hands clasped like this? Why did my hand do this? I'm talking more along physical stances and gestures more so than subtle responses. Good day to you too Lee. The reflex nature of personal (and other) body language is worthwhile being conscious of. Even when playing guitar I am often floating on the music and more disconnected with what my body is doing in relation to that ans find myself sometimes wondering and amazed at the sounds being produced through the feel, and often this distracts and mistakes are made as I focus on the part(s) rather than the whole. Finding the middle ground is a good place - that place being the realization that synchronicity is at work and being in the moment - aware but also involved. Sure. What I gain from being in constant communication with the inner self (higher self etc) is insight and purpose and meaning and wisdom and guidance. There are many external voices which tend to add confusion to the mix and we are mostly encouraged to follow those voices, be they teachers, politicians, pastors/priests, mediums etc. Each have their agenda in relation to you and each are interested in telling you who you are and what reason(s) you exist for. My methods in relation to ideomotor effect have evolved as my understanding of what is taking place has. The idea is to connect and commune and like any good relationship, this takes time and effort and commitment and trust in oneself. From what you have already shared, you are in an ideal position to dedicate the time to do this. For now I will fill you in on the process I went through in the initial stages of discovering what I did through ideomotor effect by giving you a link to another forum thread where I have shared such. If you are still interested after reading that data, I will be more than happy to share the method I use now which evolved from that. Here is the link to that data.
