Hello everyone,
My journey has lead me here, stumbling across this forum online, and it seems a great place to join so though "why not?!"
Having been initiated into the Craft back in 2008, I started by enjoying the learning and delivery of the ritual along with the comradery and social side of being a Freemason
However, in the last 12 months, I can't explain why, but I felt a deep inner change which I can only describe as 'spiritual' and yet couldn't (and still can't) actually explain what it is, though I felt it was something close to Masonry. It may sound crazy but I started to comprehend and question existence and 'being' and the world around us, and have since begun reading (well, the 'journey' lead me towards) the literature of Manly P Hall.
Because of the impact this progressive change had I spoke with a couple of members of the lodge (when the time and location was appropriate!) and two of the members invited me to join the Rose Croix, where I was perfected into a chapter last month (being a Trinitarian Christian, both baptised and confirmed some years ago)
But since joining the RC ever so recently the feeling I have experienced has enhanced tremendously, and I feel my understanding of morality and life is much clearer. However, I feel there is so much left to understand and comprehend and I am embarking on a great journey. My latest piece of study / research / learning is the latest translation of the Fama Fraternitatas.
Anyway, has anyone felt anything similar when joining any other Masonic degrees or the Craft itself? Does anyone have any advice they wish to provide? I would love to hear of the experiences and wise words which many others on this forum seem to have.
Yours Sincerely and Fraternally,
S.M.
