As is generally known there is no archaeological evidence at all for King Solomon's empire. Thus we might consider options:
- the empire of KS never existed - it existed at another place - it existed at another time - it existed at another place and time.
There is some evidence for the last option.

Here is the interior of the Hagia Sophia built by Suleiman the Magnificent. Hagia Sophia translates as "holy wisdom". Solomon the Great was renowned for his wisdom.
