Hi all,
Why Tubal Cain mention only once in the third degree ritual and why he selected for it? And why not Hiram ? Why this specific third degree password selected?

This is not a tyled forum.
TC appears to be the god of the Kenites (Cainites). TC was goat-footed, taught the use of metal for weapons and taught women to use makeup.
Such metal weapons were used to accumulate worldly possessions, probably including women.
The true MM must pass by worldly possessions to be worthy of the temple in the heavens.

The amount of info given about him in the Bible is minuscule:
One could almost say that Masonic ritual includes everything known about Tubal-Cain, ie that he was a worker in metals.
Crucially, he was the first worker in metals. He made metal tools and without metal tools very little else gets made, especially brick houses.
I think it is quite a cool name. It would be a good name for a heavy metal band. When a password was needed for this very short part of the ritual it was an obvious choice.

Here is the Sumerian god Ea (a giant). On either side of him the servants (deacons) have staffs holding billets of metal. Was Ea the first worker in metals? Notice that EA is near to a fall of water

By one account there were 3 "ruffians" that wished to access the secrets of Masonry but were not prepared to give up their worldly possession - in this case psychic abilities.
In the temple in the heavens, to which ancient Masonry gives access, there is no place for such psychism.
