Usually you contact a Lodge near where you are and ask them about Freemasonry, if you like what they say join. If you do not , don't.

You can use this forum to ask questions and many will be only too happy to answer.

Freemasons have existed for many centuries, coming into public observation in the early 18th century. After that, anyone could sit outside the lodge building and watch the brethren arrive and leave. How secret is that? If Freemasons had a view about 650 million people they might have started quite a long time ago. Do you have any particular people in mind? Meanwhile Freemasons have been oppressed by various groups including various religions and the Nazis. That seems quite a good recommendation to me.
