You must have done a search at some point on eBay for "Masonic medals".
What struck me LOL is the vast amount of different medals that there are. I don't mean just the different jewels for all the different orders and their many different degrees. I also mean the different stewards medals for the old RMBI/RMIG for each county going back years and years and years and each one with a different design .... And then each Lodge has its own Past Masters' Jewel.
Who designs all these medals? Who makes them? Is there a catalogue of ALL of them??

The medals are a way of funding some projects. The Hallstone Jewel was sold to raise money for the construction of Freemasons Hall Great Queen St. London. They varies from Gold , then Silver and then Base metal. My Lodge has a Gold one and is referred to as a Hallstone Lodge. So long as someone pays jewels will be made.
