I am a new member all the way from Nairobi, Kenya. A short story bout my journey for/in search for the light is that it started at the age of 21, now i am over 25 kept and never gave up to get one who would guide me. Thanks to my online buddy all the way from NY who helped. Well i met brothers on February at my District lodge which has three constitution's. English constitution, Irish constitution and the Scottish constitution. Upon our first meeting it was kinda weird since i panicked haha..yeah panicked though later found these guys are more friendly and straightforward than i thought. Our second meeting was through an invitation to ladies luncheon. It was an opportunity to meet other Freemasons with their family as it made me get to know the brotherhood better and also had an apportunity to ask them alot of questions.
As for now my prosper is waiting for my email, the mail to say whether i am.okay to join or not... I was told the process may have to wait until April next year.
Inshort... I found it worth waiting. Not in a hurry, all is to ready the books that i was given... Ask them more and more questions as i can. Also i was told there are alot of Lodge's and its up to me to choose between.
Will keep you guys posted!

Welcome Kenia
No doubt English brethren will disagree, but if you have a choice, I find that Scottish and Irish rituals are more rewarding than the English ritual.
Later you can visit other lodges and compare both the rituals and the brethren to see which suits you best.

Welcome Kenia "No doubt English brethren will disagree" That an odd statement from someone who has yet to provide any credentials, which would establish them as actually being a Mason. Must be the cccowardly aspect of the antisocial behavior associated with Deinviduation. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deindividuation
