I was wondering if one can join Royal Arch and then resign from their craft lodge in UK Masonry, do not really wish to be a member of multiple things.

In Australia that would not be allowed officially. But who would check, particularly if the Scribe E were a personal friend?

I was wondering if one can join Royal Arch and then resign from their craft lodge in UK Masonry, do not really wish to be a member of multiple things. When you say UK you are actually asking about 3 separate Masonic jurisdictions, those being England, Ireland and Scotland.
The answer under the English Constitution is that you must be a Subscribing Member of at least one Lodge in order to be Exalted into and to retain membership of a Royal Arch Chapter (as per Reg. 66A of the Royal Arch Regulations). If you resign or are Excluded from your Lodge you automatically give up membership of your Chapter effective the same date (Reg. 66B, RAR).
