I have more than a few radical thoughts of my own and this forum provides a more comfortable place to post them than others. A number of members who have migrated to these boards may indeed be asking of themselves similar questions as I have asked myself. My limited exchanges with those members have satisfied me. I am very grateful for the responses to my posts as I am for this new forum.

I think this forum has got off to a good start, having found a niche which perhaps didn't exist before. More will follow, some will survive, some won't. It's all down to there being a market for the product really.
MFL is young and the moderators have yet to be really tested, but I am quite confident it will develop into an important brick in the wall of on-line masonry.

I think it's great to have LKC here with us. If he has something to say he will say. I like that. Keep it up Bruce!

Late: There is a nasty rumour doing the rounds that I do not know how to open a Lodge.
Knight: Yes, I am in KT.
Chemist: Yes indeed.

Well, if I ever need "something for the weekend" when I'm in the Midlands, I'll know where to go. It might even help with "the perfect points of my entry"as long as it doesn't "prove a slip"

Guy goes into this Late Night Chemists, he's looking a bit down the Chemist behind the counter says,
"Would you like something for the weekend Sir"
The customer said "Yes"
He gave him a Lawnmower.

This forum has a lot of good qualities - the fact it is run on a 'moderation light' basis helps the conversations to flow. Having an 'off-topic' area is good too, it's something that TLR has had for a while, and it serves a number of purposes - it helps to stop the 'specialist' threads from being derailled and means we can learn a little bit more about each other away from specific masonic matters.
I do have one really big complaint about the mod's tho - if you guys delete posts it is polite to let people know you have done so and why. I've had several that have been vapourised - with no explanation (apart from once from Staffs - and that was at my instigation), after a while you feel that its not worth contributing as ultimately it a waste of time.

Bod, apart from the little mishap i have had which i did explain there have been certain occassions to delete a few threads where the harmony of the forum was at threat. On such an occassion as this complete threads will be deleted to avoid further trouble from a few people whom it was decided by the mods that their presence was not wanted as they caused disharmony elsewhere and were the reasons for people leaving and another reason why this forum was started. Unfortunately i think that there may have been a couple of your posts (and your posts are never any trouble ) that were contained in this threads started by a few of these people. We do not wish to lock such topics as is the case on other fora as this gives rise to people discussing further the very matter that it would have been locked for so we will delete any such posts or threads. In such cases we will in future endeavour to PM or e mail those persons who may have been inadvertently affected or caused a problem. Please e mail or pm myself or any of the other two mods if you require any further info in such a case if it should occur. Bod your posts are always full of useful and interesting comment and are always a worthwhile contribution. As you are aware the moderating is very light than elsewhere and very few threads or posts have been deleted since its inception. If Kizzy reads this i hope he will post a sticky on the main board with a general statement with regards to the above as i am not very good at such things. Your comment are duly noted and are fully appreciated and without your input and observations we would not be able to act so thank you for drawing this to the attention of the moderators.

Speaking as a non-Mason I do not believe there is a better forum anywhere else on the Internet which deals with important Masonic issues in the same light.
Someone completely new to the topic of Freemasonry would be at a loss to try to find anywhere more rewarding, welcoming and informative than this particular forum.
There are other great forums (fora) out there but from my own personal experience I feel that this particular forum has everything. For example; it isn't afraid to allow discussions on every single aspect of Freemasonry, and the moderators do not suddenly go "Presto Locko" at every flimsy opportunity.
Well done, to one and all.

I don't often post and apart from starting this thread I have Mod'ed very rarely. IMO if somebody posts in an agressive or rude manner, the post should be removed without comment on the board.
To comment in public on the removed post only gives the unpleasantness wheels, that this forum doesn't need.
If you look at the actions of Kizzy and Staffs, they have created a great friendly forum - just trust them - If you think a post you have submitted has been removed just email staffs or Kizzy, I am sure they would explain...

Sorry, Level, but that misses the point - I am not suggesting that a public rebuke is issued, a mail to the person saying ''we've removed your post because...' is sufficient. It is also a way of explaining to someone what was wrong with the post - removal without explanation gives no room for behaviour modification....

Bod,
Fully understood and will be carried out where possible and feasible. Generally though a thrtead from a cowan, intruder or troll such as they have just had on TFM is the type of thread that will be instantly deleted and such as these will genertally need no explanation. Other posts generally have not been deleted by the mods of this forum.
