As we are aware you can buy masonic carpets for lodges BUT if you had a big enough room would you have one in your house ? how would ypou convince the other half ?
Maybe in the kitchen a nice black and white tiled chequered floor with a tasselated border ??
I did find a site where you can buy some really nice masonic door knockers and i would certainly have one of these myself, not the carpet though

Staffs, Would the other half be persuaded if the border were tessellated?

I don't think that is a very good idea, if you had the Mosaic carpet on your Floor, would you always walk clockwise and square the corners

If I was inclined to have the masonic carpet and tasselated edging it would be more appropriate in my library as a point of interest, and constant reminder of my real interests. As not all would enter that room it would maintain more of a sence of dignity that I think we should accord this piece of Lodge furniture. It is after all a very special part of the workings of our ritual. Whenever I do initiatory work in open lodge on the carpet my feet burn, especially as a Decon, but even as the DC I am aware of its energy. So we must not take it too matter of factly! Remember, this is also where we lay HA to rest. The constant clockwise perambulations on it Do set up an enormous energy field.

I think my wife would say yes to the carpet but no to the knockers.

Of course if the carpet owner was used to Emulation ritual there would be no chance of the corners being worn out.
