Mozart was a Mason. I'm certain there are many contemprorary musician who are also freemasons. This leads me to ask; what kind of music do masons normally listen to? I've heard, for example, many masons like to go to concerts, even so, I'm certain some may also listen to the likes of hip-hop! Music Creates a vibration, which creates certain estoteric effects. IF a lodge was started with a regulation requiring only Music written in the last 30 Years what music would we choose. How about RAP charges .. Rap in places many of us have come from we have all comemmmmmmmmmmmm

Very interesting topic. Interesting aside: the latest Ars Quatuor Coronati has an article that states that Mozart didn't write the libretto for The Magic Flute, so apparently that part is devoid of Masonic content. I've not read the article yet, so if anyone has - let us know more... Choice of music that's <30 years old? Hmm... time to check my iTunes playlist: am into chillout and lounge in a big way (which would include any of the Buddha Bar and Putumayo World Music stuff), really like Evanescence's latest, Avril Levigne, "Buena Vista Social Club", The Calling's "Camino Palmero", The Corrs (that lead singer... corr!), John Scofield's "A Go Go", Hayley Westenra, Jamie Callum, anything by Howard Shore or John Williams, Ludovico Einaudi ("Le Onde" c'est fantastique!), Queen, Squeeze, Sting/Police, TISM, Pendulum, U2, Eric Clapton - and some Supergrooooove. That's all I can think of at the moment. I likes me music. ;D

Emanuel Schikaneder, who wrote the words to The Magic Flute was also a freemason
