If anyone is interested in the recipe, just ask, it's a big cake though, you need a 23cm (about 9ins) square tin, I use an old biscuit tin. Oh, I would soooooo love the recipe. Finding the the right biscuit tin shouldn't be an issue as there's a Tuesday Morning within walking distance of my home. And I'm even (shudder) starting to learn to cook, though I seem to bake more safely than boil. Everyone, I'm still stuck on the idea, floated in the last few weeks, that the WJW's jewel can be viewed as a sort of pendulum, swinging first here, then there, but always seeking equilibrium. This EA is in a sort of autisticish fixation on it just now. So that it might also spin - and counter clockwise at that . . . K, is there any significance that this happens in the south?

I have never doused with a pendulum but i have in fact doused with bent welding rods being held out in front of the body and in parallel to each other . The rods swing inwards and cross over when they detect water being either contained within pipes or on or below the surface. For those that want to try, the cheap 'n easy version, just snip 2 old wire coat hangars up to give you 2 x L shapes. Think of water or water pipe and cross over ground where you know one exists and see what happens. A few "known" outcomes will give you the confidence to proceed to the "unknown". Staffs - just put a weight (ring?) on a piece of cotton or string 8-9" long (?), hold between thumb and forefinger over a friend's right hand and then left... see what happens. Try sitting and placing it in front of your knees... Try placing it over something you love to eat that is healthy then over something you love to eat that you know is not good for you... Applications for use are endless. Maat

Getting back to my original point.
It is possible to distinguish water stirred anticlockwise from water stirred clockwise by dowsing.
And our clockwise perambulations in the lodge have the effect of stirring the energies in the room

That is not a bad idea. But it is important to:
- know what intelligence is being used for the dowsing - whether the intelligence wants to help
For example, one year with a pendulum I picked the first 3 horses in the Melbourne Cup and in the right order. The trifecta ($1 on each) paid $75000. But I bet $1 on each for a place and won $50.
The next year the same intelligence ("angel" of Melbourne) gave me absolute rubbish
A perfect example of "beginners luck"
Cheers

When the Pope died recently...the Roman Catholic Bishops were performing a censing ritual around the coffin in a counter clockwise direction.

It is a shame that this discussion petered out. As a DC I am researching why there are 2 places in emulation ritual 1st degree that the book advises anti clockwise. It is counter intuitive when either way would do and my thoughts are why be inconsistent without an explanation?
