But how much did scotish masonry influence the english? In my opinion before the years 1730 and so on no FC- or MM-ritual even exited. Until to-day no-one can really say where the MM-ritual came from. Some say from the templars or from the sufis, but how didi it "survive" the centuries? I also wonder, reading "The grand mystery of the freemasons discovered" from 1724 that the "ritual" for EA kew no initiation!!! Where did the initiation come from then? By the way: The first german lodge was founded 1727 in Mannheim (10 km away in the west of Heidelberg) and NOT 1737 in Hamburg!! The founder was the count of Schaumburg-Lippe and his co-founders were some french noblemen.
