With ref. to the previous stories by Maat and Middlepillar. There are a number of scientific experiments, obviously not acceptable to some physicists, showing a direct interaction between mind/body and mind/matter. The one most relevant to this thread has been repeated by other researchers. Two subjects, accomplished meditators, placed separately in Faraday chambers (no electromag. possible) Monitored for brain waves etc. In dark, silence both subjects reach same state of meditation/brain wave pattern. Suddenly subject A has a bright light flashed at them, immediately shocking the subject out of meditation, causing heart rate and brain wave changes. What has been shown is that subject B also exhibits the same reaction though this should not be possible. What this shows is mind to mind communication outside our known space/time continuum. Also consider W Tillers experiments raising ph of water by 'thought'. Would seem science is catching up with ancient mystics. I believe this is because of a general re-activation in spirituality and the re-booting of the use of imagination. There are a number of surveys suggesting that there are real benefits on health from prayer. What is interesting but not surprising to the members of this forum is that the 'flavour' of prayer is irrelevant. Prayer being the vehicle that facilitates the thought form in an effective way. Asolutely Maat, Quantum entanglement would suggest just that. The old adage 'throw a stone in the sea at Brighton cause an eathquake in Japan'. It's just so very complex as to be difficult to predict. This is why the saying "be careful what you wish for" is so very true, we seem to be able, as an unsavoury magician once said, "to cause change to occur in conformity with the will". The reality is we don't know what else we may change trying to achieve the result. More directly related to your point Maat is the Global Consciousness Project. With this project, RNG's that is random number generators are stationed around the world. When global event takes place such as Tsunami, Dianas death etc ,the world instantly knows via modern comms . However the project is trying to see if we, the worlds population, on some level, know prior to the event whats happening soon. We do, the RNG's altered and peaked, which of course they should'nt, before both events above and many others. Although we don't know literally whats going to happen, and may not be aware of it, there is some 'collective unconcious' (as Jung would say) response, in the worlds population. As you will have worked out, when everything just pans out right, and we don't know how or why, then some individuals have premonitions, I suspect via this example of what quantum physicists would call quantum entanglement. So as you say, given the correct mindset, brainwave function and whatever else, then we can alter the world as a whole. This brings into question such places as Lourdes, where the belief charges the place, and in the person who's sensitive enough, the cure. Thus perpetuating and increasing the effect. Though on this last point studies show that the recipient of prayer does'nt have to be aware of the prayers being said, giving an objective reality to the phenomenom, though a two way belief may increase the effect. >the Global Consciousness Project.
This is a very interesting project in which lots of hard-wired random number generators go non-random about the time of significant events.
It almost suggests that machines are not entirely mechanical

Or Russell that mind can indeed interact with matter. Perhaps we need to perceive mind as matter, in quantum terms a different rate of vibration, molecular structure or whatever. Gives some credence to the shamanic approach where all objects animate and inanimate contain some form of spirit or what is personified as spirit. This leads me to my Ley thread ,stone storing energy. I believe this is what is happening when joins with the universal,or in eastern terms when nirvana or a state of samadhi is reached, a glimpse of the whole, GAOTU, or insert your preferred description. Another Resurrection! Easter and All That!
I am resurrecting this thread because I think several of our new members, and Sychronicity in particular might really enjoy it.
Would love to hear more from you on this Syn.

This is a beaut little run down of the basics... see how masonic the esoteric side is... can you place these observations within Masonry. Sample Esoteric Christians: There is greater emphasis on resurrection (or raising? -M) rather than crucifixion, not just of the physical body, but of self to Self ( ). Jesus didn't save us from our sins (die for our sins) because our sins are for us to deal with ourselves. He showed us how we can become our own saviors (Masters ? -M), by raising our consciousness through love and the path of initiation. All people have the capability to become fully human / fully divine. Exoteric Christians Greater emphasis is on crucifixion. God "gave his only son to die for us" - death being the measure of God's love for us. Jesus "died for our sins," and is thus our savior.A list is here of other comparisons... well worth a visit if you have ever wondered. www.spiritunited.com/articles/exotericesoteric.htmMaat

One of the interesting areas of esoteric christianity was introduced by de Chardin en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierre_Teilhard_de_Chardin with the concept of the Cosmic Christ While the term slides fairly easily under the theological defences, the practice of the presence of the Cosmic Christ needs more attention. Nevertheless examples such as the Toronto Blessing are arguably symptoms of the approach of the Cosmic Christ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toronto_BlessingCheers Russell

Hmmnnn ? Do you reckon? How would you argue that people making farmyard sounds and cuckoo noises point to the coming of the Cosmic Christ. Sounds more like the great deceiver playing a mighty fine joke to me. People turning to things more spiritual after their first 'other worldly' experience would be a fairly natural thing to do be it Christ or the Deceiver. Speaking in tongues I have heard, something you can't fake (try it and see), but I still don't see the point. The people concerned have no idea what they are saying, not does anyone else except the rare few who have to translate for you (??!!) I joined in a charismatic Catholic Healing Mass once, volunteered to join a prayer group who spoke in tongues (out of curiosity only I have to say) and fell to the floor paralyzed. Interesting experience because I was fully conscious all the time and remember thinking "Hmmnn, who would have thought'. But an ordinary hypnotist could do that. (Now if it was the Deceiver, he might not have wanted me there ) The rest of the Group told me that I had received a great blessing, that I had been honoured? Healed even (though I was not ill and am still a bit whacky ) I guess I am still a bit suspect on people who feel they have to set up churches or organizations and make themselves pastors or reverends or whatever. True authority has no need of titles. Maat

The clue is whether laughter is a symptom of exposure to the Cosmic Christ.
If the Cosmic Christ not the same as the Planetary Christ then who or what is S/He?

If the Cosmic Christ not the same as the Planetary Christ then who or what is S/He? Have heard tell that Christ (or Christed) is a position and not an entity, hence Jesus, the Christ. "...Khristos in classical Greek usage could mean covered in oil. ...The word was used by extension in Hellenic and Jewish contexts to refer to the office, role or status of the person, not to their actually being an oily person, as a strict reading of the etymology might imply.Indian ghee, from Sanskrit ghṛtə घृत ("sprinkled") is another obvious cognate, and indeed, has a sacred role in Vedic and modern Hindu libation and anointment rituals. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ChristI am told that the 'oil' is the result of raising the energies via the circuitous route around the spine to the crown of the skull and achieving enlightenment as which time an 'oil' or brain 'dew' results. This is sometimes referred to as 'manna', see also reference to 'white stones'. www.sacred-texts.com/jud/tku/tku12.htmThe chrism oil in churches is reminding us that we, as Jesus said, can become just like Him, Christed. 'Heavenly' anointed, new people, seeing the Truth of it all. Maat

A link to Kundalini Yoga re the oil... "Prana is the life force. It is the life force of the atom. Apana is emination or eliminating force. These are two forces, positive & negative, in us which are governed by pingala and ida, that is, right and left. When we join these two energies under the power and the science of Kundalini Yoga, we mix the prana with the apana and bring, under that pressure, the Kundalini up. When it passes through the central nerve or Sushumana it reaches the higher chakras or lotuses; and thus man can easily look into the future. His psychic power gets enlightened. He can know his total surroundings and he is a blessed being." www.whale.to/v/kundalini.htmlMaat

If the Cosmic Christ is not the Planetary Christ then presumably the Cosmic Christ operates outside the planet
But who or what?

In my view you have 3 different beings there
If the Cosmic Christ is not planetary, where should we look?
