I am off to bed, and will not be back on line until later tomorrow. When I will explain, but to understand you really need to post that joke about me, or make fun of me in some way.
Do It do it Doooooo iiiitttttt.
If you dont you will have to ask those who have whether my explanation makes sense.

Why did stewart edwards cross the road? Originally he thought it was to get to the other side, however, he has had several e-mails from masons who have told him the real reason he crossed the road. It was illuminating, but I can't go into details here....

Ok, I am off to compose my explation of this thread, as promised. I should post it fairly soon.
I said that it was a treasure hunt of sorts and that it was esoteric, but to fully benefit and understand you would have had to make a joke out of me.
I am also intentionally not going to go anywhere near the Internet for the next few days (from fairly soon after I post my explanation) to give me time to reflect on what has hapened recently, away from it all. But I will be back before Christmas.
Stewarts school of Esoterics Lesson 1 answer is......

Light lesson
As promised here is the esoteric lesson.
Keys: Ruffians, Veils, Master, Fear, Knowing Yourself.
Those of you who took the plunge and told a joke about me to me, probably felt various emotions and had to face various hurdles in themselves to do it. Especially those who posted first.
Would Stewart be upset? Would I hurt his feelings? Can I risk hurting his feelings? What would happen if I do? Is it better to play safe? Can I do it? What will others think? Should I do it but privately? All sorts of feelings, emotions, thoughts, insecurities and fears would have to have been addressed before you could type and post for the joke to be made. To different degrees in different people admittedly, but you would to some extend have to face yourself.
And once you posted the joke, the worry may have started. Should I have done it? What will be the consequences? Will Stewart leave, not post, be hurt, whatever? What would others think of my joke? Was it too rude? Insensitive? etc.
Facing your fears and insecurities is a very very difficult thing to do, but can also be very enlightening. Every single time you face your fears no matter how small you grow from it, little steps here and there but growth nonetheless. And this enables you to face bigger fears as you pass and understand the veils of yourself.
The Ruffian named fear has to be faced and conquered. And it aint easy. I know.
Did making a joke about me become any easier after I explained more/ Or after I rallied the race? Or after others had posted giving you a field of security of following? Did your fears fade away as the security of knowing that I wanted you to do this remove the fear that you originally faced? – which is one reason why it is easier to take the known comfortable route which leaves fear in control of you, as opposed to meeting and facing it and ultimately growing from it.
Internal work never is easy, and it is much easier to shy away from than deal with directly. I forced you to directly deal with an uncomfortable issue. I hope that you can now understand why. Little steps add up. Then you can progress a little more effectively as you progress towards the light, defeating all of those Ruffians as you go.
It is my experience that if you identify your fears, and face them, or at least attempt to face them, with an open mind, with thought and reflection, after a while glimmers of light appear and you really do begin to see things a little differently. Then your fears stop being your master. This Ruffian then has been identified and dealt with. You are then (assuming that the other Ruffians have also been dealt with) your own Master, and able to illuminate the path of those who follow you.
To any to anyone who took my challenge and made a joke about me: if my analysis as it applied to you is wrong. Please tell me. I am still learning. But it will be a few days before I read any replies. Sorry that the above is a bit repetitive must be the wine.
I hope that this exercise has been useful to those who participated. By the way Middlepillar you won the mystery prize. If you want to furnish me with an address I will send it to you. Quite happy to send it to someone called Middlepillar. And yes there really is a prize.

Stewart, quite the philosopher of life arnt you.
I hope you enjoyed yourself ,i know we all certainly did.
Stewart, you asked did i worry about offending you ??
Well uuhm NO never crossed my mind at all.I always refer to the brash Yorkshireman (imagine with the accent ) saying.
" I like what i say and i say what i like.I dont know why i do it but im bloody glad i do "
This is my philosophy, and get things out in the open and people know wghere they stand.Dont care for all that fuffing around. If they dont like me for it then tough as io probably dont like themn either.
What about poor old Leo. what a great bloke ! He had the stuffing ripped out of elsewhere and quite often is the ruse for a joke here.(yes leo we know you love it ) Thats why we do it. Stewart
Wasn't worried in the slightest that making a joke at your expense would hurt your feelings. Why? 'Cos, unless I really loose my cool, my humour and speech isn't ever designed to hurt. You do, however, make some very valid points about conquering fears, whether it is a fear of change, or heghts or whatever - it takes mental and emotional effort to conquer one's fears. It's worth it, but it ain't ever going to be easy - but nothing worthwhile is.
