Having lived in Dunbartonshire for 3 years, Ayrshire for 1 year, Belfast for 6 years and finally back home for 6 years, I've probably visited well over 300 different lodges during that time. Also sat in England a couple of times as well as Belgium, Holland, Southern Ireland, Channel Islands, and North Carolina. I've also sat in the various other orders throughout Scotland, England, Ireland and the USA.

Who is the traveler in this forum? this will be dependant on the amount of years one has been a mason so will probably have visited more, and if someone is in other orders then further visiting is even more possible. As for getting around the country UK my bet would go on either Mr Mason or Proton. They seem to pop up all over the place. Bill Mc also gets around a lot and does a lot in promoting the craft. a man definitely worth honours. The young travelling Mason of the year has to be Kieran (Bod) who is always travelling, joining new lodges and only too keen to get to the next one wherever it may be. In my first year i done a lot of visiting in Sussex and also managed to get to GQS and Jerry ..Agent J lodge (Five Orders). I ahve this year calmed down a little and curtailed excessive visiting so as to earn some brownie points wiv the missus as i have not told her about joining Mark yet....Yes i am scared. I know that Bods brownie points do cost him a lot of money in favour of shopping trips, credit card bashing by his other half and weekends away to remote new forest love shacks.(What a creep) Taylorsman is well travelled in Sussex and Surrey also and if you mention a masonic centre in these areas he has generally been there as too has Proton whom can speak for hours on most masonic questions. It seems that brethren seem to attach to a lodge in which a friend is a member and restrict themselves to interlodge visiting in this way. There are only 24 hours in a day you know and there are no meetings on Sundays and bank holidays otherwise how would one manage to fit in a little bit of work which gets in the way sometimes but must with family come first in preference.

Less than 5, my vote. But then only one in reality.
However, I think I have the bug. Already have three more lined up for this year and hopefully, will get more!
It's just a great way to meet people, see different ritual, listen to others views and make friends.
I should have done this years ago.

You must know me Regards, Sid P.S. Isn't there an interesting figure above a stone portal in the castle in Heidelberg? The one with 2 angels holding a circle with a group of 5 roses within a circle. It is from the 16th century I believe. Who is the traveler in this forum?
