I actually have "films" listed as one of my interests on my CV, such do I enjoy them. I've also found that most people have a favourite film, whereas I have a favourite film per genre. Sad, I know. Today I took the opportunity to catch up on Subway, which I hadn't seen in years, and yesterday it was Amores Perros, which I hadn't seen before. Next are a bunch of Akira Kurosawa films I bought recently, but haven't yet had time to watch. Now I do! Mostly Samuraised version of Shakespearean plays.

Yes Matt. I guess I'm like you in this regard. I am a bit of a movie buff. But the one I'm really looking forward to at the moment is The Da Vinci Code. Da Vinci movie news

I find Play.Com is the best for movies, tv documentries and series like Black Adder on dvd. Their prices are great and they deliver free! This free service extends to the Irish Republic and the rest of Europe as well!

Yes Bod I agree. They are a great company. They once sent me on two copies of the same movie, an old Kung Fu film, I told them of their mistake and they said give the extra copy to a friend! One of my all time favourite movies is Mel Brooks' Blazing Saddles. Bod...... Tr3? Tomb Raider 3? Please explain

Wicca man (even with Britts fake voice) and Ninth gate. Interesting choices. Seems there are 13 "mistakes" in Ninth Gate. 13! Are they trying to tell us something?

Fight Club. What a movie! Twin Town I have not seen. Any chance of a run down without giving too much away.

Good choice on Fight Club. A copper mate of mine was so keen on it, he tried to convince me to start a local fight club with him. He was an excitable boy at times... Leo, I don't think Twin Town is one of McDonald and Boyle's best. I rate it above Shallow Grave, but below the rest (Trainspotting, The Beach, 28 Days Later, etc). IIRC, it's basically about a pair of scally twins in Swansea who cause hell through their area of the town. They're senseless and fearless, their family have pretty much resigned themselves to what they do, and the twins take on the local successful-but-dodgy businessman who owns the local football club, etc. It's basically a story of them feeling sleighted, reacting to it, the businessman reacting back, and it getting all mixed up and messy. I recommend you rent a copy and see for yourself what it's like. A Welsh mate of mine adores it, but it could be because of how much he can relate to the culture of it. My usual film haunts may be able to shed more light: IMDb, SBS Movie Show, Rotten Tomatoes or Flick Filosopher.

Haven't seen National Treasure yet but these are some of my favourites, in no particular order.
Battle of Britain The Exorcist 1 The Godfather Trilogy Star Trek -The Movie The Cruel Sea In Which We Serve The Devil Rides Out The Man who would be King The Alien Trilogy Dune Ocean's Eleven (The Original not the re-make) The Birds The Hellraiser Trilogy Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, (not Temple of Doom which was poor by comparison)
