This might sound like a stupid question but,
in french speaking lodges, do they have a different letter between the square & compasses?? Like D for example??

Stash: No silly question at all. Here is the answer: Try www.laicite.deYou will find there a charter of a lodge of the GOdF in Duisburg/Germany. See the "G" between square and compass. The charter is written in French.

And another thing:
You do not see it on the mentioned quarter, because it was cut off for internet...
Normaly above the charter the GOdF marks:
A.L.G.D.G.A.D.L.U A la gloire du grand architecte de l'univers
For the honour of the Grand Architecte of the universe
You see, the GOdF also referrs to the symbol of the GAOTU. The GL only does not require a BELIEF in a supreme being

I guess it all makes sense that they use the G since the symbolism on the letter G is much deeper than just standing for god. Thanks ppl!!
