I have been asked by a friend if anyone would be interested in purchasing a signet ring that belonged to his late father. A past master in the Manchester area. It is hallmarked 9 k with 2 crowns lion and makers insignia. I think he is hoping for something in the region of £100

A pity it hasn't got the G in the middle, otherwise I could have been interested.

Have to admit Steve, that was the problem for me when Andy talked to about it yesterday at work. But I do like the fact that it is not one of those 'swivel' things that rotates, and it is a good size. Maybe when my insurance money comes through

It certainly does look a lovely ring. Has it got a engraving on it - from the owner, that is?

I don't think so Leo - sort of what you see is wot you get. OK. Another question then: What is its size? Diameter wise, that is.

It's about the same size as my wedding ring which I have been informed is an 'R'

I always thought the "R" was for "round" Kidding, of course ;D Thanks for the info Mick.
