Encyclopaedia of Freemasonry " by Albert Mackay dated 1892. It is a revised edition in one volume. Beautifully bound in a red cover,(not sure if it is leather) and in great condition. Approx 1070 pages all in excellent condition. This is a very heavy book but will include postage in the price of £70.00

You just cannot help yourself can you ? I have the same sort of weakness with books as you well know.

Finaly getting to clear out some doubles(on orders from the wife ) I also thought about getting many of the books on CD but I prefer hard copies.

Books online are cool but . . . While I was at the GL the week of my initiation, I got to spend a LOT of time at the library. While I was there, I discovered Mackey and Johnston's "Masonry Defined. A Liberal Masonic Education (Information Every Mason Should Have) 1930". I had to remind myself that my goal was to look at ever book in the library (and take notes of which I would want for my own) and that I couldn't just read this one.
I never found it online or on CD and the price I did finally pay (I'll have it in a week) was rather steep. However, even if I had found a digital version, it's clear to me this is curl-up-in-bed reading material. Some of them are like that ;D

Reading posts, etc, even the long-winded ones, are never really a problem but there is something special about having an actual book in your hands - flipping through the pages is in my opinion far better than scrolling down a computer screen any day of the week
